RACE Pro: racing sim coming to 360 this fall

This should be pretty good. It will run on the same engine as GTR, GTR2, RACE 07, etc. Apparently it's going to be a 360 exclusive.

With GT5 eons away, and the PS3 still stupidly priced, things like this tempt me more and more to pick up a 360.

Sim bin was going to release GTR on the 360 a while ago. Looks like they scrapped that and changed plans. I'll take it.

^ I believe the reason they scrapped the plans for GTR on the 360 was because they lost the publisher for that title and couldn't find another.

No, I don't think Simbin made that BMW game. It runs on Simbin's engine, but another company actually made the game itself (10TACLE STUDIOS), which is why it had crappier handling compared to other games that run on Simbin's engine.

This new game will probably be more like RACE 07, which was completely by Simbin and had much better handling than the BMW game.

Seems to be an interesting game, but reading through the description, I found it to be essentially a renamed port of GTR Evolution, with fancier graphics and some extra tracks. Both seem to have the same cars, and will likely share tracks. (They already share Macau.)

Not completely right, the BMW M3 Challenge game was made by Blimey Games and Blimey was formed from the founding members of Simbin from what I know. That last work of them all together was GTR2.

Simbin doesn't have their own engine, they were using and presumably still are using the ISI Gmotor 2 engine which is made my ISI the ones who made rFactor. BMW M3 Challenge was set on the same ISI engine as GTR 2 and I believe GT Legends. Of course Blimey is now moving to their own engine which they are using in the new Ferrari game coming out.

I believe 10TACLE may have just been a publisher on these games.

Thanks for the clarification. In any event, I'm fairly confident this game will have better handling than BMW M3 Challenge because RACE 07 handles much better and this game looks to be very similar to RACE 07.
