Yeah, its really easy. I've been doing it for years. Whenever i install a GTA, I immediately mod every car i can.

Best source for cars: www.gta3.net

Make sure you have a really good look at the screenshots, there are a lot of rubbish cars. you may find that you'll need to edit the handling.cfg file to make the performance more realistic. sometimes the handling files that come with the models are completely batty, some RWD or 4WD cars are even set up as FWD. And also get used to the fact that some won't work and some may even crash your game. don't just mod heaps and then play. mod one car at a time, then test, that way you'll know which car is causing trouble.

Yeah for GTAVC I had tons of modded cars, I havn't gotten around to getting SA for PC tho, I beat it on PC and got tired of rampages.

I couldn't really find much info at the time about making the cars, which is what I'm really interested in, because I'd make every car in SA a ROTARY BEAST RE AMEMIYA HOOO YEAH!!!!!

I got my mods from planetGTA.com but that was before SA came out and stuff.

There are some ridiculously complex 3d programs involved, I tried it for kicks and got nowhere.

3dsmax being one of them, I think.

i disagree. Real GTA is a complete mod, so it doesn't let you do what you want, it's only for GTA3 where singular modding can be done in all 3 GTAs and the cars you get in RealGTA are pretty old mods now, the modding community has come a long way in quality and quantity since then.

I'm not scared of 3D programs. I can work with Maya, 3DS, AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Blender(my fav), I just havn't seen anything about working with GTA specifically.
