Default Sanctuary (TV Series)

Did a search, nothing came up so just wanted to update all the sci-fi fans...

From TV.com
Quote:
Sanctuary, the first broadcast caliber Sci-Fi series developed specifically for the Internet and the first to be filmed entirely on Green Screen, stars Amanda Tapping as Dr. Helen Magnus, one of the first female doctors in the Royal College during Victorian England. Dr. Magnus takes over her fathers' sanctuary for supernatural creatures, collected from all over the world. In her work with these creatures, Dr. Magnus has received age longevity. She is joined by her daughter Ashley, played by Emilie Ullerup, and young psychiatric resident Dr. Will Zimmerman, played by Robin Dunne, who may have what it takes to become her new protégé.
Watched the first episode and I have to say it has a lot of potential...

Things I liked:
- The whole show is filmed behind a green screen, so there's a "Sin City" feel to the show.
- Good introduction of the characters
- Nice mix of comedic and serious scenes
- Sound and visual effects are pretty good.
- Interesting story line; a little Fringe (science) and x-men (mutations/powers)

Things I didn't like:
- Amanda Tapping's "British" accent was a little much, especially if you are used to watching her in the Stargate series.
- Can get veerryy slooww and drraaggyy at times. But I guess they were being comprehensive.

Has anyone watched it yet? What do you think? Yay or Nay?

I watched the web episodes first, then the TV series pilot. They re-tell the story from the first few webisodes in the two-hour TV pilot, only it's a little better (they don't tie the Russian orphan storyline to the Jack-the ripper plot). The effects are also much improved.

Overall, it has potential. The last webisode really left me hanging. It will be interesting to see if the upcoming TV series follows the same story or if they go in a completely different direction.
