Default Saw Muse Live Last Night (Nokia Live Grand Prairie, TX)

This was my first Muse concert and wow! It was amazing, indescribable. Anyone else go by any chance?

On a side note, a high school friend of mine got some extra tickets from someone he knew from a radio giveaway that included a pass to go with Muse to the Dallas gun range to go shoot guns! Lucky SOB! I'm not sure if he's even much of a fan.

I saw them at Wembley Stadium on 17th July. They own live. They bloody OWNED that place. Believe me, Knights Of Cydonia and Plug In Baby sung in complete unison by 70,000 people makes Wembley seem very small. I now can't listen to a Muse song without thinking about the concert.

Ugh, reading this makes me utterly depressed. I was supposed to see them tonight but a series of unfortunate events led to me having to give my ticket to someone else. I saw them last year but it was at a crappy venue but this one was at Mesa Amp (much better open air place). So i've been constantly recieving texts from my sister and her friend of how awesome it is images/smilies/wallbash.gif

That totally sucks man.

This was my first time seeing them live and I plan to do it alot more often! Nokia live is relatively small (about 6000 people I think?) but it was excellent acoustics so you don't miss a thing and it is so powerful. That's the best way I can describe the show, powerful. They came out with Knights of Cydonia which started the nigh off awesome, Hysteria, Time is Running out, New Born, Plug In Baby, and Starlight were all amazing! Hysteria, New Born and Plug in Baby especially.

They're touring all over the states right now and they come often. Not sure where they are next but I imagine it's somewhere in the US, check their tour schedule on their website.

Starlight was really good live, matt got everyone clapping to the beat and then everyone started singing. I'm not sure where they got the piano bit from because matt was on guitar during the song. I guess they just played it recorded, but it didn't take away from the performance, it was kind of drowned out by the guitar, bass, and drums plus the crowd anyway. Invincible was pretty cool too, it doesn't stick out that much in my mind, but it was good. I like the song and they were playing video on the screens in behind them relating to theme of the song. As far as the piano goes, they wheeled it out for matt to play the intro to New Born, Buterflies and Hurricanes, and a few others, but my mind is kind of sketchy. He changed guitars for nearly every song!

But Plug In Baby is better.

This is the closest video I've seen to what it felt like at Wembley. 70,000 people all singing. Together. Short but sweet.

Holy crap those lasers are amazing! I was going to say that was similar to they way they played at Nokia Live up until the lasers anyway, haha. Where were they playing there? I was talking to my brother who also went and he said he spied a mysterious fourth band member in the shadows on the keyboard taking care of the piano bit of that song, lol. Starlight has to be one of the most uplifting songs there is, I don't know how else to describe and definitely one of my favorites. images/smilies/biggrin.gif
