Apparantly they lowered our price, and at the current exchange rate vs exchange rate at launch it worked out to a grand total of US$35 drop in price.

Well supposedly according to Sony...the 60 GB model is no longer in production and is being phased out. It seems as if this 60 GB price cut was just to get rid of unsold units.

A competitive price with the 360 would make me seriously think about buying one, but right now it still doesn't seem worth it. For now I'll keep playing my roomates 360...untill it explodes.

Basically its a big con by Sony, they're clearing out their 60 GB stock with the price drop...to make way for their newly announced 80 GB units which they will sell again at $600. we all know 20 GB is not worth the $100 but they think they will get away with it, and probably will because consumers are dumb.

I don't think they are going to do very well untill the price competes with 360 or they get much better games.

The way I see it right now, Microsoft won have won against the Playstation in the consule battle, but Sony has won the format war, unless Jedi come then everything is changed.
