| Lazy Head Dude | It's on BBC and torrents are available. Worth a watch. Very interesting seeing the country from a British perspective as he visits each of the states.

| Lazy Head Dude | I got mine off SceneTorrents (private site). I guess I'll have to throw together a public torrent later this week. And there's been 2 episodes? Are you sure? The Scene only released the first episode under 12 hours ago.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | In Europe (I live in The Netherlands), BBC 1 already aired two episodes: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00f2my5/episodes/2008 So it would be great if you could throw together a public torrent. If you do so, could also do it for the second episode, I will record the following ones on my HD recorder. I forgot to record the last episode yesterday and I found out it was the second one already ![]() Thanks |

Rep Power: 54 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I saw it, and I did enjoy it. I don't think Stephen Fry will ever be unwatchable. However, it seems a little bit of a lost opportunity - as the US is so vast, you only get one or two little glimpses from each state. What I'd really like (but will never happen) is if the BBC got a relatively unknown presenter, with the charm and knowledge of Fry, to make a documentary about the US and spend an episode - an hour's viewing - in each state. It'd take forever to film, yes, and it would be expensive as hell, and some episodes would be not that great ("This week we're in Iowa, and here's some corn."), but I reckon it could be a hit. Like Palin's "Around the World" programmes. Michael Palin, not Sarah! In other "British TV on the US" news, Simon Schama's new series - "The American Future : A History" - starts on Friday and will probably be interesting, even if you don't agree with whatever it might say.

Almost impossible for a Brit now I am afraid - they only like Irish people it seems. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0185051/ 9.2/10 good show. Stephen Fry's show: I agree they tried to cover too much ground - lobster Fishermen FTW by the way, I never knew you could do that with a Lobster. ... (You'll have to watch it to see what I mean). ![]() Viper007Bond, the first episode will do then, if you can find the time that is. Nice cars btw, I like the one on the left. Didn't they pimp that car on some tv show (other than Pimp my ride)? Last edited by SpookyNL; October 13th, 2008 at 06:23 PM..

| old porsches do run! | Scene releases everything in rars. And yeah, it's annoying when people don't unpack it before torrenting publicly. But everything can be a fake, rars have nothing to do with it ![]() |

Rep Power: 28 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I saw 30 minutes of the show last night and wasn't totally convinced. Maybe it just was too slow-paced for my personal liking... |

| Why would they put a sample there with Stephen talking to some guy if it's fake?

It's the internet, people complain when their comps don't read their minds and instantly have the free show before they air. Do a quick search and you will have people wanting shows in new formats, faster release times, and faster download times, and now special ways to trickle a scene release down to the public. It turns out beggars can be choosers.
