Won't be out for another month in Europe, I think... From what I heard its pretty kick ass and should appeal to comic fans as well as non-fans...

I saw it last night. It's pretty good, a few cheesy parts though. And it pisses me off that it was as long as it was, because I ended up still having to pay $2 to park...stupid Ocean Walk...

I'm looking forward to this, because of Kevin Spacey and the fact that it's directed by Brian Singer, and the Usual Suspects was awesome for both of them. Too bad I can't see it here in China...

I would never ever in my whole life watch a supposedly groundbreaking good movie on a shitty silver... Or even just a good movie... I wouldn't even watch it in a small, old cinema. A proper one!
Or in HiDef a year later on my LCD...

I will say that the aesthetics were awesome. Everything looked and sounded the way it should. While you're in the movie you just keep thinking "Wow, i'm watching Superman!"......

I really didn't like it. I thought it was long and pretty pointless. All the good bits were shown in the trailers.
I was really looking forward to it, thought Bryan Singer would do a fantastic job after his work on X-Men and went in expecting a great movie time. It certainly gets my vote for the "Peter Jackson editing award". Much like Lord of the Rings and King Kong there was so much that could have been left out or shorterned and many areas that I think should have been expanded on. |

Unloved and lacking a title

My God, what a boring movie! Too damn long, seriously, could they have dragged it out any more??
Ugh, waste of $12 and 2h45m imo. |

didnt see it on IMAX like i was planning, i settled for a normal theater.
anyway, i liked it a lot. the special effects were spectacular and i think Brandon Routh played the part quite well. I would say its probably on the level of Batman Begins IMO. |

I was never one for superhero films or comic books developed into films. I just never got into the whole fantasy thing. It used to piss me off how anyone could get out of any situation by using one of their superpowers that hadn't been previously utilised. It just smacks of cheating (I think that's the engineer in me talking, I like seeing practical solutions to problems, not just being able to morph into something else or similar)
This also seems to be overloaded with special effects as well, which also don't really do much for me. Once you know that a computer designed it all, where's the shock factor? I can't really get immersed in it. Then again, I'm one of a few that didn't like the Star Wars series either, so what do I know.

Well, it sounds like I will wait for NetFlix on Superman and spend my money on Pirates II. By the way, I took my GF to The Devil Wears Prada the day she broke up with me (after seeing a chick flick - that burns me) and I must say Meryl Streep is a master!
