I didn't say say it was weak, i said he did a good performance but it was the weakest of the headliner stars, who all did pretty awesome performances.

I didn't care for Bale in the last Batman movie either, actually. He's my least favorite actor that has portrayed Batman thusfar.

Went to see it, finally. And all I can say is that was the best comic book movie I've seen. Most of anything else is just bollocks. I've been disapointed many times, even within the Batman saga (Batman & Robin comes to mind) ... but this one was good.

As for Christian Bale ... wtf is going on? Apparently he's now becoming Hollywood's favourite actor for sci-fi action breakoffs from very good original sagas. Batman, now Terminator... What's next? Blade Runner 2?

Just saw the film and I'll have to agree with pretty much everyone else. It was incredible. It was a shockingly disturbing film.

It was the awesomeness known as Equilibrium. images/smilies/cool.gif

But to be fair, John Connor was played by a couple different actors already, same as Bruce Wayne.

He is a little hard to hear, but I can appreciate changing your voice so you don't sound the same as Bruce Wayne. Helps in terms of hiding your identity.

Just came back from the moive... as many have said, it truly is a masterpiece. Agree with the comments about Joker, Two-face... truly great characters. And also about Batman's voice, the moment he started talking, my girl asked me what was wrong with his voice. Sorethroat perhaps images/smilies/lol.gif

As for the characters, you have to remember that although it was a Batman movie, (btw.. it's the first movie without the word "Batman" in it), the story revolved around the other characters instead. I think Batman Begins provided a good insight to Bruce Wayne and Batman which the director need not go into it again. I'll say its a 40% action / 60% psychological movie with the morale dilemmas of the good guys turning bad by succumbing to the ugly side of death, jealously, helplessness etc.

Unfortunately the cinema I was at had a pretty bad sound system, I couldn't really hear the soft parts and a word of caution to those going to watch it, you really have to pay attention to the dialogues or you'll be clueless in what's happening.

Not too sure about you guys but I felt it could have been a little longer, certainly did not feel like 2 1/2 hrs and the ending seemed a little rushed. I'm pretty sure they had to cut out a lot of footage. Overall I give it a solid 9/10

^Not long enough??!! ... I was ready to pee my pants 30 minutes from the end of the movie, I had to run out of the theatre for a quick wee ... of course, the washrooms were right next to my hall, so I knew I wouldn't miss much ... god, thank you for making me a man. images/smilies/thumbsup.gif
Didn't miss much either. 3 minutes.

I saw it again today, with a friend who didn't watch yet. Sadly, it wasn't in IMAX. Anyway....

I picked up on something I didn't realize the first time around...

Spoiler Text: (Click here to toggle display)
The first time watching, I thought Batman chose to save Harvey Dent. But the second time I heard him tell Gordon that he was going to save Rachel. So I guess that means the Joker wanted him to save the person he didn't pick. Evil genius.

A few things:
Spoiler Text: (Click here to toggle display)

1. So, is Harvey Two-Face Dent really dead? Seems kind of a waste, I loved Eckhart's portrayal and wanted to see more of that wonderfully grotesque character design.

2. How did Gordon fake his death? Was the cop in the crowd really the Joker, sans makeup? That scene wasn't very clear to me.

3. Best part was the Joker fiddling with the detonator in front of the hospital, while still in his nurse's uniform. images/smilies/lmao.gif

Absolutely loved it. Comes in as my 5th favorite film after LOTR Trilogy and Lock Stock.

Found some bits very funny actually.

I really doubt Two-Face is dead, they had a memorial in his honor but I don't think it was actually a funeral. Plus what's to say that his death wasn't also faked? I doubt Nolan would introduce such an interesting character just to kill him off.

As far as Gordon is concerned, I think he got shot in the chest but was wearing a bulletproof vest. And after being taken to the hospital etc, it was decided that he would just fake his death. That way everyone else is oblivious to it. This is just what I was thinking, the other characters seemed to be genuinely sad about his death.

The funniest part is when the Joker appears in the Nurse outfit next to Two-Face and says "Hiiii" images/smilies/lol.gif

Just came back from it and it was an awesome movie experience. I just got the feeling that whoever put this movie together knows what he/she is doing.

Spoiler Text: (Click here to toggle display)
What I didn't understand was what actually happened to the Joker? Batman left him hanging there and the only thing they showed were the SWAT team pointing their guns at him. They either killed him or arrested him.

Also, what happened with the two boats? I know one of the prisoners threw the remote out the window, and one of the civilians put it back in the box. Did they just head back to shore?

I found Batman's voice a little annoying, but badassimages/smilies/cool.gif. I also loved it when Batman crashed his Batmobile and tore out of it on his "Batbike."

I gave it a 10/10 and the only other action movies I gave a 10 to are Terminator 2 and Leon: The Professional. images/smilies/cool.gif

well, this is what i think

joker must have definitely been arrested or something. they cant kill him, he's an extremely important and main character in the Batman universe.

the two boats dint blow up and we can assume they safely returned to the shore.

and yea i found the batman's voice annoying too, dont think anyone liked it tbh.
