Default The Kingdom, thoughts?

I saw the kingdom today through an advance screening provided by my school's films club (doc films) and I was very pleasantly surprised.

I was convinced that it would be a totally braindead action flick but it was very heavy stuff...I don't want to spoil it, but I surely enjoyed it.

It looks very good. Is it true that the last 30 minutes are super intense?

Graphic intense or action intense?

I'd like to see it myself since i used to live in an American compound in Saudi Arabia, and I can remember when another one got bombed.

Hmm, might have to check this out. Though I'm kinda getting tired of all the 'Special Forces/Marines getting themselves into some kinda trouble in some social-politicaly troubled Islamic Middle East country' type movies.

Jennifer Garner has a horse face. Jason Bateman needed more screen time. Was too middle of the road for my taste. A very throw away movie not bad but not memorable or thought provoking.

Just saw it a few hours ago at a pre-screening

Saw the trailer for the movie yesterday. I'll await some reviews but I'd like to see it. Jamie Foxx & Michael Mann => good mix, as seen in Miami Vice.

edit: meh, 48% at rottentomatoes. Still have some time to think about it, its belgian release is end of october.
