Unfortunately the version on youtube is a different, not quite as good, version from the version I have, but it's still good.

One of the best drum-tracks ever imho. The song itself is pretty good, but the drums just elevate it to a whole other level.

Very recently started trying out some Jazz. Been wanting to for a while, now tried some albums of Toots Thielemans (one of the most famous Belgian musicians alive). Pretty brilliant stuff. Very relaxing as background music but also interesting enough to really listen to. Just like good electronic ambient music (lately listened a lot to Biosphere, Carbon Based Lifeforms and Global Communication).

Anybody has any recommendations for "ambient jazz"? On another forum I was advised Lester Young, which turned out to be very good as well (does there exist bad jazz? I kind of doubt it ). So I'm mainly looking for instrumental jazz which brings you in a relaxed mood, great for reading a book in the evening, for example.

Well, I constantly find myself discussing underrated bands with a small amount of people, so I thought it would be interesting to take a new twist, and chat with an open group of listeners, that prefer other genres besides metal. So, here goes.

Personally, I love Meshuggah because of their originality, which is usually how other fans feel about them. I find that the way they incorporate a completely unique style into their music, introducing listeners to a new way of listening to songs; that this is the next step in the music industry. How, incorporating vast rhythmic changes and various time signatures has expanded what people thought of music, not only in metal, but in any kind of composition devised by the bands we see today.

It gets tiring to have to listen to mainstream where ever you are, whether it be outside, in a store of some kind, or even on the programs you watch. But I guess it's simple to avoid these things as well. What I'm really trying to say here, is that it was great to be able to discover, and experience something new and interesting.

To be honest, like most new listeners, I didn't understand Meshuggah's goal in their songwriting, what they wanted to achieve, whether it was a new style, or that type of thing. Besides that, I was having a hard time following the musical composition itself, but that's what attracted me to the band even more. After all of this, I began understanding and listening with a closer ear, and now find myself studying, and playing various songs from this wonderful band.

Well, I don't want to take up this entire topic with my thoughts. Just thought I'd share a little bit of my world.

Recently I've gotten back into liking Declan Galbraith. So I thought I'd share him with you. The most annoying thing, is that he is the same age as me, so WHY CAN'T I SING LIKE HIM?!?!?

Anyway, some random new songs from him.
