No hiphop heads?

I'll listen to pretty much anything labeled as Rap/Hiphop, if it's good. I don't care if it's undeground, commercial, dirty souf (get crunk YEAH!!!!), east, west, whatever. My favourite MCs are Jay-Z, Nas, Biggie, Rakim, KRS-One, the old LL Cool J, Cam'ron/Dipset, all of the Wu-Tang Clan, I can go on for days.

I also like reggea and dancehall. I'll dip into soca and reggeaton sometimes, but I can't say I listen to them daily. Bob Marley gets played daily, believe that.

Other music, let's see. Pink Floyd's great, I have all their albums. Jimi Hendrix, Rage Against the Machine, Nirvana, all great. Soul/Funk is also were it's at. Prince, James Brown, Rick James, George Clinton, Marvin Gaye, Micheal Jackson before and including "Bad", and just recently Ray Charles (wish I had listened to his stuff earlier).

Early Eminem (after Infinite) is good too but he's lost it a bit with his last two albums. I'll also mention The Streets, but somehow that's not real hip hop or rap, is it. Just heard A Grand Don't Come For Free, and it's great.

Woooord, Das EFX is the shit. Back in the day, they had that diggity-rap style on lock. I suggest you listen to all of Rakim's material, especially Paid In Full. Great stuff.

I recently bought Masta Killa - No Said Date. Brings back that flavor from the mid nineties when the Wu couldn't do wrong.

I'm into rock, but I find Judas Priest a bit too gothic.

I prefer; Guns 'N Roses, Led Zeppelin, and Muse

www.coparck.nl

I'm in love - I've got their first album now and I've had it on repeat far too many times to be considered healthy. Check out their work, I adore it!

They have a really good live performance on www.fabchannel.com , which is where I discovered them. They're indie/pop music reminds me of The Thrills and Athlete, two bands that I really like at the moment. They also have a sound similar to that of The Killers, who are massive at the moment, I'd love to see Coparck make it big

I've got another recommendation. Moby's new album 'Hotel'. I loved Moby in the 'Animal Rights' era but sort of lost interest after all the fuss over 'Play'.

With 'Hotel', he's gone back to guitars (although not speed-metal like 'Animal Rights') and is doing the majority of the vocals himself again. I think Moby underestimates his own voice. In the last few albums he's relied almost entirely on samples for vocals, but in my opinion, I'd rather listen to those samples in their original context and have Moby come up with something himself.

He's got one of those voices like Fred Schneider of the B-52s or David Byrne of the Talking Heads - a voice that would never be considered a traditional lead singer's voice, but ends up fitting perfect with the right style of music.

As with most Moby albums there are tracks that I just outright don't like, but overall I'd say it's one of my favourite releases of 2005 so far.

I'll have to get it, I just deleted pretty much all Moby stuff I had on my iPod cause I found myself always skipping them...

EDIT: Don't like it much, only downloaded the first half of the album, deleted them all. Sounded too "Pop"

^ I could really care less about Audioslave (who would ever think that combining two of the greatest bands of the 90s would churn out such utterly boring mindless shit), but I'm really excited about the new Nine Inch Nails.

I kind of feel this way about NIN, but really enjoyed Audioslave (and RATM before it). Well, I guess every man to his taste

I think audioslave is awesome, true...RATM and Soundgarden were like better as seperate entities, but I'm just glad to hear Chris Cornell again. NIN will kick ass, from what I hear....I believe Pearl Jam is due to release something as well, much more harder I think....maybe more like "Ten"
