Hell, it couldn't get any worse than the first one. That was an absolute insult to both series.

Don't worry about that, he's too busy doing the remake of Death Race 3000 and preparing the adaptation of the classic arcade Spy Hunter. Two projects worthy of his talent, for sure

The honor of finally putting the nail in the coffin to both franchises will go to Colin and Greg Strause, who until now had been visual effects supervisors in a number of films.

The only chance that I go to see this is if I go with a friend of mine who is an avid Aliens fan, and it's always fun seeing him pissed off Otherwise, I'll just pretend this film doesn't exist.

I'm a huge fan of the Alien and Predator sagas but this move will completely suck. They've put so much blood so at least they can sayy it's bloodier than the previous movie.

The first AvP movie was ok because it was quite faithful to the comics, but this one... Why it always has to happen in USA??? (I don't mean USA it's not a good place to inspire the movie plot) But I'm a little bit tired of the typical town quite far from everywhere where ther's or a Serial Killer, or Zombies, or a massive Virus Breakout or in this case Aliens. Quite predicable.

obviously you haven't seen the comedy gold that is Deathrace 3000


as for AvP2 valtros is totally correct you could replace either of the races with a bunch of zombies and it would be just fine. Also correct me if i am wrong but weren't the predators in the AvP comics sort of good from what little i remember reading it always seemed to end up with a predator or 2 + a human or 2 vs. all the aliens

Actually the Pred-alien it's common with the comics so even if it wasn't a following up it could appear anyway.

Yeah, that was what my friend said after we left the cinema: "Why haven't they taken one of the comics and just filmed that instead of this crap?" And then went on to enumerate all the things they'd done wrong. On the other hand, I read a few of them when the first AvP film came out, and I thought that he was mostly right, but I got the feeling that AvP comics were too diverse themselves to say the film was or wasn't faithful to them. That said, the film was mostly crap, and my hopes for this one are nonexistant.

And I was just wondering who would care about "that much gore" when there is just a horribile Plot with horribile Actors surrounding it ...
If I´d wanted to see Gore, I´d visit my local Slaughterhouse and watch Cows getting Bolts shot into their Head and then have Chainsaws taken to them ... If you haven´t got enough Gore in your Life, i´d suggest you´d try that ... or maybe you could even get a Job there. Wouldn´t that be great, working with all that Gore every day? You wouldn´t need to spend all that money on Bad Movies anymore! Just consider the savings! And the Fun!
No Offence Dude (?), but I hate it when People just look for "more Gore" in Movies and really don´t care about the rest of it. I think it´s childish ...

I think the trailer is pretty bad, too. Looks fine ... I mean CGI, the way it is filmed. That´s not the Problem. But that Plot, those terrible Lines ... the Gore for Gore´s sake. You just know it´s rubbish and with that Trailer they are only going for those "I´ve watched the HARDEST Movies" Teens, so you are just going to End up in a cinema filled with pubescent, loud, Popcorn throwing Teenagers who will applaud when the Movie is the worst ...
But still ... as a big Fan of the Alien Movies ... i´d still rent it.

Small town USA gets invaded by aliens/monsters, yeah that's never been done before...
