I saw her on a rerun of Letterman the other night from who knows how many years ago. She acts (or at least did back then) pretty masculine; sitting with her legs wide open like a man, etc. Not what I look for in a woman. She's still mildly attractive, definitely after made up though. Tattoos aren't my thing either...

Just watched the movie today, it's freaking awesome!
Spoiler Text: (Click here to toggle display)
I was afraid of them leaving Sloan alive just to do more sequels, but no, they wrapped it up nicely. So cool to see Wesley finishing his dad's last assignment, and with the same kinda gun his dad uses too. Too bad Fox had to die though, I was expecting Wesley to bullet block that shot.
If you like action and gun fights, this movie is a must see, 9/10.

It's been getting bad reviews, but I don't care. It has Angelina and a Viper, plus I don't mind shit plot but action packed movies. images/smilies/love.gif

As long as you watch it for the action, it's a great movie.

Honestly, I thought it was kinda cool but I still expected some more. There were some lame parts as well.

Major spoiler...

I didn't like how the movie played out though. Didn't like the twist...and hated the fact that Fox died. It was fine that Sloan was the bad guy, but all that stuff about the other assassins name coming up...maybe that could have been more bullshit lies.

Should have gone to see WALL-E?

funky looking gun, seems more complex than the one the germans came up with in WWII that could fire round corners.... it just had a barrel with a large radius 90 deg turn in it.

Technically none of the assassins should need that gun, they should all be able to curve the bullet.

IMO they all because Sloan tricked them to kill another persons, because of that machine printed their names, and that's why they need to die.

It got better reviews than I was expecting, but when I went and saw it, it was much worse than I could have expected. It's like any other mindless action movie, but it takes itself too seriously.

go read the original comic. I know i know the movie is never as good as the book and all but seriously everyone... i do mean EVERYONE needs to go read the comic RIGHT THE FUCK NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i mean check out the synopsis how is this not a million times cooler than a bunch of knitting assasins.

Quote:
The premise of Wanted is that all the world's super-villains decided to band together in 1986 and use their vast collective powers ? including mad science, magic and mind control ? to eliminate all the world's superheroes and rewrite reality in their own dark image; in essence an in-story retcon. Prior to this the world was a brighter, more hopeful place (a clear reference to the end of the Silver Age). Superheroes are remembered as fiction (as they are in the real world), and behind the scenes a cabal of the leading super-villains run the entire world.

Mama's boy Wesley Gibson discovers that his recently-assassinated father was a super-criminal called The Killer, and that Wesley has inherited his both his skills, his fortune, and also his enemies.
and while i would never suggest anyone steal on the internet if someone was to go to torrentz.com and search for "Wanted Comic" i bet you would get some results

by itself pretending the comic doesn't exist it's a great movie with some awesome action and a kinda meh story but for a summer action movie it was better than i was expecting.

Yeah, and they had to replace the barrel after like 2 shots due to the friction that occurred. images/smilies/wink.gif

Really? A local radio show has a comic book segment and they're repeatedly said the comic has nothing to do with the movie really and that the comic is complete garbage.

You, sir, need to lay off the horndog images/smilies/tongue.gif.

Just got back from seeing the movie. Thought it was pretty good, but I'm a fan of Nightwatch/Daywatch, so I was expecting exactly what I got.

But the loom? Seriously?

8/10, -2 for the freaking loom.

I don't think the movie was trying to be that serious. I mean just look at the very last scene where they actually break the friggin' fourth wall. My theater audience actually clapped after that last line....

It's great because it does have some cool stunts and action scenes so its not totally mindless/repetitive.

not that they are wrong.. but they are fucking wrong... Mark Millar the writer has won tons of awards and the art while not the best is far far from shitty. The biggest issue people might have with it is that the violence is pretty friggen graphic and because instead of being assasins they are super villans the main character does some pretty evil shit... which is part of why i like it it is so unlike almost every other comic i have read... seriously if you can get it coughtorrentcough you should totally check it out if i were to guess it would say it is a 76md DL for the CBR packs not that i would download comics or anything thats totally just a guess

This is one of the reasons so many bad movies are made, and most of them make shitpots full of money. Too many people don't care about the quality as long as it has a big name star and explosions. And I HATE it when they say "well you need to turn your brain off to enjoy it", yeah who wants to sit there and have to think about something?

Didn't the German version have an issue with the bullets shattering before exiting the barrel? Not very effective at anything but point-blank range.

I saw this yesterday and really liked it. 8/10 from me.

Edit ** Question that I'm sure viper can answer.

In the scene with the Corvette and Mustang, they showed a shot of Jolie shifting gears. It was supposedly in the Corvette but the the gear lever and the whole interior seemed like in was from the viper. Did they screw up? or is it just me?
