Xbox 360: Premium vs Elite

Is there any reason to get a Elite if you don't have HD TV, i would never really even look at Elite but i have a friend who i play all my racing games with and hes all over the idea of a Elite, but at twice the price i don't see the point, especially as you can still see the pixels with a 360 (from what ive seen) so as far as HD goes i would think you would just see the same pixels, just clearer, which doesn't make any appeal to me

plus, can the elite even work on a normal TV? or is it HD only?

anybody want to sway me?

It also has a bigger hd capacity. If your willing to wait the Elite features will eventually be on the Premium package though you won't the black console. Me thinks it will just be an additional hdmi port. So you will probably still have the standard port along with hdmi.

I dont know what you mean by Pixels, every screen is made up from pixels so you are always seeing them. I have an Xbox on a very old HDTV and it looks great. As for SD for the Xbox, it looks ok. I have tried it, and it depends on the TV. I was at my friends place and he has an HD TV but we where lazy and hooked it up to the SD connections and it looks very good. HD was better, but still good and playable.
Then at another friends house with a crappy HD TV and it was ok. Again playable but not great.
As for Elite vs Premium, well, if you dont have an HDTV then all you have is an bigger hard drive. That is good, and if you get an HDTV down the road you will have the HDMI plug. I have and old HDTV with no HDMI so to me i am happy with my Premium.

I'd get the Premium. I've just been in the same situation, and after a while I just couldn't get where in the Elite all the extra money goes..

Elite = You get HDMI, a bigger HDD and a black box, instead of the usual gray/white.

same here, get the premium, and use the extra money you save to buy a game i hate the black case and controllers on the elite, and my HDTV isn't big or expensive enough to have HDMI so the preium is fine for me. and i don't really use the HDD space anyway, so 120Gb would be useless.
