lol

great epsiode!
the a class' left bumper light is out of order. in the scene where the car is driving the slalom, you can see, that the right one is shining, while the left one isn't. after a few turns, it magically is on, that's for me, what merc stands for: electronical disaster!

That rear pillar on the A-Class looks dangerous! It's one huge triangle that blocks your blindspot completely it seems.

Still, I don't like tall cars at all. It's an improvment over the old A-Class but it's still not to my liking.

I've been to Dubai and have a few friends who go there on business a few times a year. Most of the city is very new and has been built within the past decade or two. However, it's not completely soulless. Taking a walk through the various souks (basically market areas) downtown is quite interesting. The gold souk is rediculous -- 4+ city blocks in area jammed full with small 10x15 foot shops selling gold in every form. I remember seing a "necklace" on display that was so large some women could wear it as a top with nothing else and still be covered up.

I also got a chance to go dune bashing. It's a popular past time in the area and involves getting into 4x4s and driving up, down, and around the dunes like a roller coaster. I didn't get a chance to do the driving (although you can get different excursion packages from the tour operators that will let you do the driving) but it was a ton of fun. Definitely one of those things you need to do at least once in your lifetime.

As to the A1 GP, it looks promising. If they want to attract a wide audience then picking the tracks is going to be important. I used to follow Indycar about a decade ago and the highlight of that season for me was always the Cleveland race. It was run on airport runways and taxiways which meant that there were no concrete barriers and the track was insanely wide. This meant the drivers could take more risks like going 3 cars wide into a corner (as worst case was they'd just run off onto the grass) which made the race more exciting to watch. The complete opposite of the Detroit circuit where there was only one corner where you could pass. That was a snooze-fest.

I know the driving purists will say that the narrow tracks are more technically challenging and I'm sure they are right. However, if you want the sport to be entertaining to the spectator make the tracks wide and let the drivers go nuts. It's like TG vs. FG. The reviews in previous seasons were technically better on FG, but I'd rather watch TG.

hi guys
this is a great site/forum and i'd like to thank to people running it .)

And LIMA;
there's no problem with Merc's lights,
the fog lights work with the steering wheel at low speeds, to illuminate the side you're turning etc

I've got a 3dr A class and i hope Vicks did like it .) I'll learn in about 2 hrs

But i know Jeremy liked it tho 8)

Btw: What was your highest top gear/fifth gear share rate? Must be a lot of seeders because I get a fifth gear episode in nearly 30 minutes...

My best shares: Top gear: 14.974 Fifth gear: 18.180

Live for Speed Stage 2 - at the moment theres only Stage 1, but the next Stage will bring the most realistic racing sim to a higher degree of realism images/smilies/wink.gif

Since I have started seeding the episode last night, One of my machines has transferred 26GB, and the other has done 13GB. so in the range ratio wise of 146.29 (26GB one) and 73.15 (13 GB one)

best episode yet. they've finally nailed what makes the Top Gear reviews so good. The first two eps of the season were almost there, First Vicki's review was not quite there, then Tiff's and Jason's. This episode all three nailed it.

lets hope they keep this up, I won't miss Top Gear as much =)

I think GTR is too much realistic for the game, at least to play on keyboard. But LFS is realy nice! images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

I would have loved to see them do a real life track competition. Or maybe even go carts images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

I thought the first Fifth Gear was the best and this one was the worst so far (not bad just not a good as the first 2). It seems most people think the opposite images/smilies/sad.gif . The first episode had a race on a track with Tiff & Jason sliding around images/smilies/biggrin.gif .
