Why can't they just call it the 10-07 instead of the one thousand and 7. images/smilies/lol.gif

I totally forget about the episode tonight, since the last episode was released just on friday. The Maserati race segment was good, but the diesel segment was boring and the 1007 was just ok.

Worst of the series so far but it was still fairly good. The diesel segment was boring.

I don't know about the test with EVO.

Possible spoiler: but not much images/smilies/smile.gif - highlight to read

Trying not to give too much away it's total time puts it about the same as a standard M3 which I am sure a standard EVO could do, at least going by all the road tests I have read. Here in Austalia we get a detuned standard EVO VIII and every test I have seen has it quicker around a track than a normal M3. A full spec Evolution VIII should be even better, an MR a step again, and 400hp should help a bit too. Anyway I have no problems with the result of the comparision, just the time for the EVO.

About the race

Maybe another spoiler:

Poor Tiff, some good driving but in the end just an average placing. But I suppose he got a free drive.

It wasnt too bad, the main issue ive had with fifth gear is that its too short.
They want to cram soo much into the one ep, and everything just seems like its been cut short.

Spoiler Alert:

I wish they would have skipped the boring diesel section and done more with the racing. It was awsome watching Tiff just pick off newbie after newbie on the track even when they were cheating. This is the first time I have seen him get mad on camera. He was PISSED when they stopped qualifying early. If the car actually worked and that blonde didnt get in the car he would have won images/smilies/lol.gif

It should, but the way it was posted, only curious people would read it.

yeah, I'm glad how they showed how they did it, my stupid mind didn't think about such an easy trick, I was thinking about radioguided car or hidden driver images/smilies/lol.gif

The racing part was very good. I would like to see an entire episode devoted the season. Jodie gets images/smilies/thumbsup.gif from me for having the balls to do it.

I really do have to question Ralliart UK's tuning on the FQ400 Evo.

I'm getting 400bhp+ out of my 4G63T with an EVO3 turbo, some people have put down 400awhp with my turbo. I am running higher compression (9:1) and my turbo is ported+clipped so things kinda even out... and even then I'm at full boost 24psi at just above 3200 rpm, if you can't keep my car in the powerband on a track, you suck at driving.

My local DSM/EVO tuners (DSMotorsport & Turbotrix Racing) have done well over 400bhp with the stock Evo8 turbo. There's not an excuse for the crappy power band on the FQ400 MR.

They stick a Motec on it, put a big laggy turbo that can only run on high octane, yet here in the US we are able to squeeze out more with our 93 octane and have the good boost response of a standard turbo? And they charge how much for it?? WTF?!?!

Heck, I'm not even talking about putting a ball bearing turbo in there yet... in a way, I'm glad we don't have to pay that much for an Evo here in the US.

Spoilers:
Still I don't find it surprising how much faster the Noble was, it's got a whole lot less weight and a power advantage? That's just not fair at all, especially on a dry track.

I wonder if Vicki uses left foot braking? That would pretty much eliminate most of the lag and powerband concerns of the FQ400. Something makes me think she doesn't.

Interesting. In one of clarksons articles two days ago he pretty much trashed the 1007. Ugly little thing.

How about that coming out of the pits and swerving across the road.. Women drivers...
