| Well, I think the new set-up is better in that it's 45mins now, but I wish they'd fill it with interesting stuff. The Harrier/GT section was dull imo and the banter was so forced it was quite painful. And come on, what's with the digs at TG - it's just childish and unfounded. I hope the next episode is better as that was a bit of a let down for me. | |

As for the Harrier/GT, I liked it - I love the Harrier and want a go in one, and seeing two GTs is always a good thing. The powersliding bit seemed a bit like the "Tiff teaches Chris Ryan to powerslide" from a bit back, but still good, since I can't do it but want to any teachings on video are good. Quote:

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Yes it is scripted but so is TG. I would even bet that the script points out when Jeremy inhales through his teeth. I love both shows. So much better than what we have here in US. sbarron |

Rep Power: 19 ![]() | Very excellent I thought... can't wait to see the koenigsegg CCR... also, just noticed looking at the Koenigsegg website - they're not making the CC8S anymore, just the CCR. Crazy... |

Car: POWERR!!! Rep Power: 0 ![]() | WOW! 5th Gear is amazing this year! ![]() Production values are through the roof and Vicki looks better than ever. One complaint is that their track times for cars are with different drivers (which doesn't make much sense).

I mean, they didn't all of the cars on there, just the ones Vicki did. And they definetly are trying to 1-up Top Gear. The whole "much better than a airport" track comment, the computerized leaderboard instead of magnets, etc. Mad props to FG.

And yeah, the dig at TG about their TG track was great. I hope TG responds with a few jabs of their own. ![]()

However, mind you that you don't actually need to connect to a seeder to complete the file. Through connecting to many different peers, it's very easy to "see" a whole copy of the torrent and download it off them.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I have been downloading Top Gear and Fifth Gear from here for a long time and followed the forum but never posted until now. Anyway, is there a way to get this episode not from bittorrent? I think my university has limited bandwidth or something for bittorrents in an effort to prevent filesharing, so I can't get any more than 1 kbs. I had no problem when at home or in years past; they changed something for this year. If anyone knows of way for me to get around my problem and can point me toward someplace where I can get the episode, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Not exciting is the best way I can describe it. Looks like the old format with bits awkwardly added in between. Bits copy/pasted straight from the competition. The AMV8 part was great as a film, much improvement on that level, but Tiff's blabbering was just "blah blah blah" ... and is it just me or does he always looks and sound like he's about to burst out laughing? 911 and Exige was ok ... barely. They can criticize the airfield tracks, but at least it makes for some great footage. Sotheby's at Ferrari ... I just can't figure out how you can make that bit boring. I don't care about Schumi's seat! I want to see the Enzo prototype, I want to see the incredible classics and bits of cars with an interesting history! Just not that ugly seat. Harrier/GT ... there again, not exciting at all, and I can't figure out why. Perhaps because Jason didn't lookor sound excited to fly that plane ... And please, stop the BS acting. All 3, you are great drivers, but just don't act, it really makes you look silly. I just can't figure out why I don't like FG. I know I don't like the presenters' voices ... but that can't ruin the whole show, can it? Anyways ... will watch the Zonda F episode for sure ... then maybe the rest. I'll still be eagerly waiting for TG every week. |

Rep Power: 26 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Overall it's a bit dissapointing. But not too bad. Cuz I didn't expect it to be TG anyways. The harrier segment is way to forced. Jason just controlled the harrier for a little bit and they claim he learned to drive it. And the pilot only got to drive the GT for a bit, he didn't even drift the whole circle. But this is better than not having anything to watch at all. Thanks for sharing.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I was dissapointed too. It's better than the old FG, but only slightly. I thought they were going to have a proper studio, not an office complex with people using computers in the background. It makes it seem like they're running a business, not like TG in the hanger where it's just a bunch of people talking about cars. Don't like it how they use a computer for the lap times, TG is better with the magnets. A computer is unnecessary. Vicki was really pissing me off while driving the 911 too. Don't know why, she was just really annoying. If they want to compete with TG, they need to add humour to the show. Not forced humour either (I know TG is scripted, but it still works). |

Rep Power: 26 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I kinda like FG to keep their more informative style. Like they mention the spec of the cars and (sometimes) acceleration figures. But there's just too much car unrelated stuff in this ep.
