That forester is a Forester STi. it is only sold in japan but people import them to the UK and USA mainly. we have 2 in Australia and so many people try to bring them in but our laws make it almost imposible to do it. but i so so want one..
![]() EDIT: Just finished the ep. i would say that it was most probably one of the best episodes to air. i loved the shoot out and the crash test sends out a very important message. With that review of the Q7 i no know someone who is interested in buying one and i can not wait for next week as it looks even better

Pretty good overall. The crash test would be more interesting if they put a modern SUV against the modern Espace.

rather good episodes, alot less dull then last season(atleast seems that way to me)
if last season wasnt dull then maybe the word im looking for is natural? i think the 44min setup screwed with everybodies head at first personally loved tiff babling on about the lotus , been around one of those 550 replicas before at a track, even when their only replicas their reallly amazing just to stand by

Good ep. The car wax segment is a bit drawn out, and the wax doesn't even seem to be that good, maybe it'll look better in person, but I don't see the difference between that and some regular Meguires wax. I don't get why they don't make the shoot out segment longer, like last week's Miata shoot out was perfect. The two STi battle was cool tho, I knew the WRX STi would beat out the Forester cuz the car is lower and probably better handling, you can see the Forester roll abit more and seems to respond a little slower around the corners. In the old race cars, I think Lotus 11 doesn't really look that good, I rather have the 550 replica instead.

They had that same Land Rover Discovery on a really old episode of Top Gear. It received a three-out-of-five star rating from NCAP. It looked exactly like the crash Fifth Gear conducted.
Here's the screencaps from Top Gear's June 22nd 2003 episode: ![]() Here are Monday's Fifth Gear episode (sorry for the discoloration): ![]() Sorry if I'm a bit off topic. I wonder if the Discovery had it's engine mounted transversally, would it have faired better in the crash test? |

Pretty good episode. I liked the old race car race quite a bit. That black thing that Tiff drove looked like a ton of fun.
I'm curious where Tom was in Arizona for that test. Probably Tucson, if I had to guess.

Don't mean to sound like an ass...but nobody who knows anything washes their car in the sun like that guy did...maybe he didn't care 'cause he was using clay later.
I'm pretty content with my German Klasse Synthetic wax (anybody else here use it?). btw...it's been a while since I've been on the forums...good to be back great ep

Excuse me for breaking the ice here, but why should you avoid washing a car in the sun? We don't have a full overhead garage so I'm always washing + polishing in the sun.

You should try to avoid washing your cars in the sun, cloud cover will do just fine or shade from a tree, building, etc... I have seen some owners buy canopies to cover their cars just when they wash them, now even I think that is a bit extreme BTW: I love the fact that he is on call and will go anywhere to whipe off...shit.
