Heh. It was alright. Seemed really short for some reason, probably because nothing great happened.
As usual, Tiff and Tom were the best. I really like that Volvo Tom tested. Looked like an all around great car. And the Exige was good too. I don't know what the hell Jason was doing, he must have mixed up his current script with one that was a couple years old. It was extremely boring, but somehow still felt rushed. After watching it, I realized the only real car test done was the Volvo by Tom. The rest was just a bunch of mindless nonsense.

Looks like Mininova is broken. Give them time to fix it.

It was an alright ep, kinda boring. Not much about cars. I'm not really interested in the Bond films, so I guess that's why. When are they going to learn that you can't buy a car and make money (usually). They're better off giving that M3 away. Tiff's segment is alright, but it's just a Flexfuel Exige, nothing too different from the regular one. Tom's segment was cool, the V30 does look pretty good. Do we get that car in the US? Nothing too great, but it'll hold me over till the new TG season.

I didn't mind the episode as there was no Bentley & Lovejoy specific segments!
Tiff & Tom's segments were both good, Jason's was not bad either, although it wasn't too long ago we saw the end to end process of trying to make money on second hand cars. The Bond segment makes me look forward to the film - Vicki and the ejector seat was mildly entertaining (and not too many squeals either!!). |

Terrible episode... Tiff's bit was boring and had the same message as all these cars do. The James Bond bit was way too long and showed more of the movie than I would have liked to have spoiled for me.

A decent episode, but the "exclusive" Casino Royale stuff was hardly exclusive. I just watched a thing off ITV that was nearly the same.

Again they get it wrong.
Peugeot has been making pepper-grinder for decades, probably before they made cars. They are therefore not "Car-merchandise", but lovejoy isn't in agreement with me on that. It wouldn't be long before my pc is "car-merchandise" aswell, as soon as he finds out my videocard memory has been produced by hyundai. |

I know, I thought the same. I have seen Peugeot grinders in a lot of places across the world. That's such a big mistake to make... Lovejoy is gay.

i actually enjoyed the first half of the show..... big suprise for me!!!
someone above asked if the C30 was going to be in the states.... yes, i was reading on the volvo web site that it's going to be introduced in europe and released everywhere else a year later as it seems with most cars we get. the I enjoyed that wreck my ride better then any in the past because i think tom saved it's ass.... it still sucked. i think the C30 looks good, i just have to get used to the ass end of it. Jason's bit was useless, but entertaining all the same. the lotus part... tiff was talking about the fuel mileage.... on a car not designed for the public... that's pointless... besides that, that car was tuned where the street cars have a more flexible tune for safety, so i would presume if they were to actually offer a flexfuel lotus, they'd probably detune it to less then the Exige S and thus the fuel efficiency would probably be about the same as on the petrol model. though alcohol does burn faster then petrol. could have used more power sliding Casino Royale... looks good, but all the best parts have now been shown, so i'm hoping this actor is good to make up for me knowing half of what happens. blowing a hole in the roof of the merc was a waste of time since i've seen it on every car show every november because of every bond that's come out in the last little while.... please, leave the movie stunts in the movies. oh.... and the car merchandise..... leave that for the top gear presenters and actually give us some substance... but thank you fifth gear.... you subdued the 2 idiots in the cafe a slight bit so i can now watch them without a headache... they still suck side by side though. And Tom... apply for Top Gear. |

I for one am quite enjoying these last few episodes. I was absolutely mortified by the first couple of shows but as the season goes on, the shows seems to be getting more and more like the old show of last season. We just need to see a few more shootouts and less of Lovejoy.
I liked Jason's bit ( looks like I'm in the minority ). I like that JP is back on regularly. Tom was great as always. Now get rid of Lovejoy and that new guy, they both suck. Get back in the office, dump 'wreck my ride' and the show will be infinitely better. BTW, VBH is looker cute to me these days. |

don't you ever wonder if you're starting to enjoy them because you're just getting used to the new format??? I've wondered this a few times, and i think people have just gotten used to it so they don't realize how much better it really could be. I've realized this has been happening to me because when i see the Tom parts, i'm reminded of what it was once like, but my expectations have been exceptionally lowered. the show is not what it once was, but i think the crew is starting to realize this a bit and are toning down a little in some areas, but it's still not Fifth Gear just yet. I think once the new season of Top Gear starts again, we are all going to realize what we've all really been missing, and see just how much Fifth Gear is actually hurting. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and still have a hope that it will get better, i will continue to watch these episodes, but i no longer have urges to go back an watch them again like i once did. |
