I gave it a 10 just because of the first segment, that was just awesome, I wish Opel would have the guts to bring the car to Germany, it would be an instant hit. We did get the Lotus Omega, we have tie right to get it predecessor !!!
The rest could have been crap, I'd still give it a 10.

The trial segment was great, too. I like the way the 2 interacted "Oh look, an Escort Mk2, I wonder if it has the 1300cc Twin Cam engine in it" images/smilies/roflmao.gif

The Audi part was a bit boring, but what is to expect from an new Audi, these cars are just plain boring, not even Tiff can make them exciting.

I think 5G keeps getting better and better this season. It was good all around, nothing bad to say really. I guess the Carlton would have been faster than the VXR when it was new. I love old crappy cars, so I enjoyed the trial part a lot. The Jason Plato part was good, but obviously he is used to driving race cars. I don't see how a car with over 400 hp could be considered under powered. He should take a spin in my 129hp Saturn.

^That's actually a good idea.. Whenever 5g or TG will review a supercar they shoud force the reviewer to drive a really crappy car.. So they get the same perspective as the normal person.. images/smilies/tongue.gif

Was I the only one that noticed VBH's reaction when Tom mentioned his "fertility" and hit her shoulder? The look of utter disgust just cracked me up.images/smilies/lol.gif

Seeing the child dummy go flying was a little funny too. He launched like a rocket!

I liked most of the episode. I don't think they should have had Tiff review the A3 when he hates drop tops so much. Hard to get a fair review that way. It looked like a nice car to me. I've liked the A3 for a while now, and a drop top one wouldn't be a half bad daily driver.

Oh, and I WANT THAT IMPREZA! Wish I could enter the contest, but I'm pretty sure they won't ship it to me anytime soon.

Good Progam, but the Lotus Carlton + ridiculous dance music made my day images/smilies/smile.gif. I couldn't stop giggling.

I didn't like this one very much. I think the first episode of the season was the best and it's kinda gone downhill from there.

I usually enjoy the shootouts but I didn't enjoy this one. Maybe because I was pretty much certain the the VXR8 would win and thus I thought it was all a bit pointless. Why compare a VXR8 with a 20 year old collectors antique? Why not something that actually rivals the VXR8 in some sort of way?

I skipped the "it's new but yadda yadda yadda" clip.

I really didn't enjoy the 24 hour hillclimb bit. It was boring, those two have zero chemistry, it wasn't funny or interesting, it had virtually no information, it had no depth, their car sucked, they sucked... That segment could have been so much more than it was but they just didn't make anything of it.
Tom says the producers flipped a coin to see who would drive... That's some high-quality work right there. I wish I could get a job as a tv producer and then just flip coins to make decisions all day instead of actually thinking and using my friggin' brain to make a decision like a grown man would do at work, where he works, professionally, as a worker. No wonder this show sucks so bad.

The second-hand car segment was good. When the segments are simple and quick and purposeful they seem to work much, much better.

The Audi convertible test was awful. Why let Tiff test it if he doesn't 'get' convertibles? He'd decided he didn't like it before he even drove it.

The Taxi crash test was supposed to be a big joke, right? I mean it was tongue-in-cheek, yeah? The whole point was just to smash stuff, yes? I ask because It was the stupidest thing I've ever seen on television... which I can accept if it was meant to be stupid... but I had the feeling all along that they were actually taking it seriously.

I really don't like that new Maserati... So I wasn't surprised by the fact that I didn't enjoy that segment... Plus, Jason Plato doesn't talk english good.

That episode sucked and I regret downloading it.

Yep, I think Tom really wanted to be the driver and you could tell that he wasn't satisfied by Johnny's efforts at certain points. Like when Tom was throwing himself around in an attempt to jiggle the car up the hill - Johnny didn't seem to be anywhere near that level of enthusiasm. When Tom said "good try" it seemed to me that he was thinking "soft effort by a limp-wristed sissy" as he said it.... maybe that's just what I was thinking.images/smilies/biggrin.gif

The main thing I didn't like about that segment was how hollow it was. It was a grueling 24 hour event but the editing and the effects and the music made it come across as just 'three steep hills'.
