It could have used less Jason and Tiff and more (if any) Johnny.

If I were to revote, I would give it a high 9 rather than a 10. After thinking about it for a while, I woulda much rather had a good Jonny segment than the Jag bit.

Wait are you serious? I've lost count how many times Top Gear has made jokes at the expense of Prescott and keep dropping his name, showing his face, and making mention about how fat he is.

I voted a 10 ONLY because of that shot when the chick in pink shirt climbed into one of the cars~
![]() if not for that it would only been a 7 or 8... lol to me the new guy just isn't needed, Johnny can do all of what he is doing anyway. and now that they keep on packing so many stuff in the show, they are now only interested in what time did the cars set round the track and they didn't say most of the useful and important stuff like how the car feels anymore... PS. that tight and narrow and twisty looking track, is the configuration the same on every episode~? if so someone should be able to do a lap chart of some sort to compare cars across different episodes.

No comments on the prize? I'm not an FG expert but I think that has to be one of the best giveaways - sexy 2003 M3 with a ton of extras. Lucky Brits

Tiff, Jason and Vicky have all done shootouts, so you can't really do a direct comparison. Not least because I've still no idea if Tiff or Jason is faster round any given track with a car.

Not a bad episode, Plato and Needell are always fun to watch, and the Challenger was great, even though it needs a manual gearbox urgently IMHO!
Tom and new bloke's chat in the studio is highly unconvincing to say the least, they should think it up on the fly or shut up completely. Also, anyone else catch Tom's "Is it Jeremy Clarkson?" line when introducing Prescott? ![]() edited to say voted 8, it was let down by Prescott, whom I detest, and no Jonny! |

Right Prescott -ve mangles the English Language, has two jags but is 'signed up to the Green Taxes lobby' but +ve biffed a wanker who threw an egg at him when on a walkabout. He was criticised for that but I like him for it the bloke got what he deserved. Actually the egg thrower seemed not to mind much really and did not take it further. Oh and he rogered his secretary across one of the desks in Wjitehall I am led to beleive.

The Challenger does have 6spd manual (tremac) as an option.

This series of fifth gear is just getting better and better and I think I enjoyed this episode more than many recent top gear eps. There are things that still annoy me, like the tiff/jason "whose dick is biggest" stuff and the dull studio natter, but there is just so much car stuff it is difficult to get bored for too long. Bruno Senna was very enjoyable to watch, relaxed, informative, humorous, and natural ....... hire Senna and fire Plato. I think top gear could learn something from an episode like this .... that is that a car program can still be entertaining despite featuring a lot of cars.

I don't know about the banter between Tom and Tim being that bad, i enjoy the blokes going back n forth a lot more than Tom and Vicki's contrived cafe banter.

loved this episode, it was so awesome! Only the last segment with Prescott let it down a bit. But overall, great job, Fifth Gear!
Scoobies, Senna, M3 vs IS-F, all excellent segments. I also felt that they were more honest about the cars than they used to be, especially in the "is it good" and Astra segments.. BTW, anyone notice the flames behind the Porsche?

I gave it a 10 just for the scooby event.
However, it was a great episode all round. Fifth Gear has taken a huge step in the right direction this season.
