Gonna release this one publicly via HTTP and see if the server can handle it and what kinda speeds people get (will it bog down and turn into RacingFlix or is the pipe nice and large?). images/smilies/smile.gif

... I ask Herb Helbig, vehicle synthesis manager for SRT and a member of the original Team Viper development group since day one, if they'd ever thought of adding traction control. "It comes with two," he says, pointing at my feet. "Learn to use them." Got it.

What it does is looks to see if you came to that link from the site as opposed to coming to it from offsite. What browser are you using? It may not be sending the referral info correctly.

Default Changing my browser security settings so I can download

Viper,

I suggest you remind users who have security software to
disable hiding the 'referrer' in their browsers prior to
downloading your files via your web links.

Most people with security software - eg Nortons would have
the same problem I had.

Relying on referrer is probably not a good idea - how about
asking for a user/password or something prior to download
to stop most bots?

It's not about bots, I just wanna other webmasters linking to files here and claiming credit for them or whatever.

I'll add a little note. I wasn't aware about those kinda software. images/smilies/smile.gif

I'm downloading the new episode at 100KB/s and normally my max DL speed is about 105-110 KB/s.
