Car: 1998 Subaru Legacy 2.5L Rep Power: 41 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Onto episode six of thirteen! It’s a very special edition of Fifth Gear tonight as Girls Aloud are given a masterclass in driving supercars on a racing circuit by Jason Plato. The girls all love cars, and jumped at the opportunity of getting to play with a 180mph Porsche 911 and Ferrari 355 at Silverstone. After Jason finds out what each girl drives, he shows them what a car is really capable of in the hands of a professional racing driver, as he skids and slides them round in a tyre-smoking tour de force. Then Jason and the girls swap seats – Kimberley, Cheryl, Nadine, Nicola and Sarah take the wheel while Jason instructs them in the finer arts of track driving from the passenger seat. Then out comes the stop watch as we find out which girl is fastest. As a final treat, speed-freak Sarah Harding is given the opportunity of driving a Ferrari 355 race car. Overwhelmed with excitement, she gets a little carried away and unfortunately manages to crash before even leaving the car park. All will be revealed in a dramatic climax to the programme... Tiff is in Italy driving the latest version of the Maserati Quattroporte, the car owned by U2 frontman Bono. And Tom Ford helps out setting a spectacular new world record for the most number of cars doing ‘donuts’ (360 degree spins) simultaneously. But when one donut goes a bit wrong, Tom’s toes get driven over and he’s sent writhing to the ground in pain! UPDATE 9/5/06: Jon Bentley does some digging to find out if we can insure our 17 year old with a £30 car for less than his current £1,300 premium. Jon has a look at some of the insurance tricks and tips that could save a small fortune on the cost of insurance. |

Just show Jason fanging the cars around the track. And Tom's story sounds amusing just reading about it (not that I want to see him get hurt)

| I'm not Moe | wow, only 3 different parts to this ep. Tiff in the Quattroporte will be good, Tom doing donuts will be good as well. but I can already tell that the Girls Aloud segment will be annoying |

Basically they are a bunch of popstars and for reasons unknown, Fifth Gear allows them to get behind the wheel of nice sports cars...and then watches them crash before they even leave the pits! Before: ![]() During: ![]() After: ![]() Ahhh the look is priceless in that last shot Heres a pic of all of them before the chaos unfolded 8) ![]() The one in Jason's left arm is allright... | |

Car: Pedalpower for now... Rep Power: 13 ![]() | Sounds like more things than usual are going to go wrong. crashed 355 and tom getting run over, or atleast his foot. I don't think it's going to be that good af an ep.

I'll watch it of course, and cringe the whole way through, and scream and cry a bit when she crashes the F355 Tom's donut report looks suitably bonkers though

| the girls driving, i think, will be either hilarious or pathetic but at least the crash will be some fun. for what we saw in the preview, jason's face and his attempt to avoid crashing were very funny. jon bentley's bit uhm is looking quite uhm informative, yes... bah! they should simply cut that bit for good! so basically, i'm interested in the new maserati quattroporte. the previous one (the one richard hammond drove) was quite good IMO, so i hope this one will be even better. | |
