Sounds like it's going to be awesome, but I thought that they would've tested the Veyron in the last series.

It all sounds awesome, but I was hoping they'd ditch the stupid celebrity-featured-challenges. Still looking forward to Tiff in the Bugatti, the Maser GT, and of course Jonny Smith. What a great job he did last season!

wow, this is one of the best premieres i've heard from fifth gear in a while.

i hope they make his bit as long as possible. i don't want it to last like... 3 minutes.

while Vicki Butler-Henderson finds out which car is the quicker – the brand new Audi S5 or the BMW 335i.

How does 335i compare to S5, they should of just done s5 with the new M3, i am not sure with how much horsepower the S5 holds, but it's a S5 not a standard A5, it's like a M.

The opponent for the M3 will be the RS5. The S5 is in the same performance-league as the 335i, so the comparison is correct.

Reviews say that the S5 is pretty weak, the 335 will probably get the quicker lap.

I wish they could of had the new C350 in the mix. Although for outright speed, it isn't the best due to the competitions newer engines, it would be interesting to see how it compares to the Bimmer in the bendies.

as for the S5.. the 335i will smoke it, ive seen enough 335 v.s M5 videos & seen a chipped 335i doing quarter mile in low 13s (at altitude with normal pump petrol) to know how powerful the 335 really is.

I also think that the 335i will win on the track because it should handle a bit better, especially in good weather conditions. The S5 has a bit more power (and the better sound ) but the BMW has a better weight distribution. Anyway, both are great cars (although I think the S5 is a bit overpriced in comparison).

The S5 basically has a de-tuned RS4 engine, so it's not really that new


Can't wait for the RS5 vs. M3 shootout, whenever it may happen. I guess the new CLK (63 AMG) could be out by then, too.

No it doesnt. To my knowledge its the V8 from the old S4.

swweeeet, sounds great, and it really seems that the quality is getting back to Fifth Gear, hopefully the Veyron segment will be long enough, can't wait to see S5 and 335i.. and grandturismo sounds great too!!

Altough I have to say I am a bit affraid that Tiff will be mean about Veyron (I somehow doubt he will get it sideways the way we would like to see it , I think he will say that McLaren F1 or Enzo is better, lighter..)

hah yeah, he'll def say something like that. He'll take the light and nimble over anything. but in the end, he'll probably gonna be blown away by the power.

Probably will let Tiff release track time, though that won't mean anything in relation to the Top Gear numbers cause it's a different track.
