Default Top Gear Fanboys who think Fifth Gear suck

Fifth Gear was pretty enjoyable this last series, and I think many agree. Many TG fanboys come in this forum and make new threads like the "5th gear blaaaa" thread.

I know that I'm going to get neg-repped for this by some homo-fanboys, but fanboys should keep their mouths shut, and watch something else! Stick to Top Gear and let us have our other British Car show that actually reviews cars that people can buy.

I love Top Gear, but Fifth Gear has its own appeal. Fifth Gear sometimes has the supercar stuff that we all dream of and want to see, but it also has a lot of relevant information about normal cars, track days, racing, and race tracks. Things that we can pretty much all afford or want to do.

If you don't like Fifth Gear, don't whine to us about it anymore. We don't want to hear about it. Sometimes there is something in the show or with a presenter that might bother someone, and that kind of constructive criticism is good. But, being upset that a presenter said something that a TG presenter might have said once, or being upset over the show not containing enough super cars or crazy stunts is stupid, as that's not what Fifth Gear is about.

I'm now bracing to get neg repped into oblivion

When there is no Top Gear, I watch Fifth Gear. When there is no Fifth Gear, I watch Top Gear. As easy as that.

You shouldn't be neg repped for your opinion, but I'm tempted to do so for the (at least it feels like it) 100th reincarnation of a thread like this...

All sorts of fan boys are "blaaaaa", I feel sorry for the pitiful losers that have nothing better to do with their life than spread their useless opinions on the internet.

Sure I like some cars a lot better than others, I like many tv shows a lot better than others but I have more important things to think about than people who disagree with me!

greetings from another grown up..

A TG fanboy felt it necessary to send me a private message on this subject, which I will now post here:

Quote:
Quote:
TG fanboys
I dont like the reference to me being upset about 'a fifth gear presenter having said something a TG presenters said'. I was not upset, i made an observation that Tiff, more and more reminded me of Clarkson ! Thats all, i have no problem with people watching fifthgear even though i prefer TG, the same way i prefer it to the used car roadshow. Take the abuse that gets thrown at you if you 'love' the show so much and shut up !
First of all Frenchdayz, this post was not directed just at you, but at the numerous thread starters (fanboys) in both the Top Gear, and the Fifth Gear forums. All say similar things, "Fifth Gear is copying what Top Gear does" or "Fifth Gear is copying what Top Gear says".

This is going on all over the place, not just in here, as Gibby pointed out. Due to my 'love' as you put it, for Fifth Gear, I felt it necessary to speak out about the stupidity of these fanboys who are generally an annoying nuisance (as you proved to be true by sending me a private message).

If I said something about your beloved Top Gear, I wouldn't doubt that you'd defend TG within an inch of your life. My issue isn't "defense" of the show, it's only that I wish people like you would shut up about it. Fifth Gear is for car guys, Top Gear has a broader more generalized audience. If you don't like Fifth Gear, why watch it? Let us enjoy it.

images/smilies/plus1.gif I like both, it works out perfectly even when both Top Gear and Fifth Gear series are running because I watch TG on Sunday, and watch Fifth Gear as a download on Tuesday images/smilies/biggrin.gif There a nice match in my TV viewingness (no that's not a word, and no I don't care)

about time someone makes a descent thread like this, well done.

Tiff + Plato pwns all. There is nothing like watching racing drivers thrashing supercars on the race track and giving technical feedbacks on the finest detail of the car's setup and suspension design, something no ordinary motorjournalist can ever do. RACING DRIVERS FTW

At this point as an automotive show Fifth Gear is better. It's all about the autos.

Well, I didn't d/l any of the latest season of FG but I did stumble across their YouTube channel.

And.......

Wow. What an improvement over past series. The cinematography has made leaps and bounds, they had some awesome cars with some great reviews and it's too early to think of anything else to type but yeah, FG is clawsome!

/TG is also still clawsome but they don't have as many series as FG does...

Personally, I don't watch Fifth Gear all that much. Mainly because I am in the states, and we don't get many, if any, of the cars that they review. I know the same can be said of Top Gear, but Top Gear is more fun to watch. Hey, what can I say?

Strictly speaking in terms of motoring, Fifth Gear is the superior show now, at least I think so. Top Gear is more about dream cars, entertainment and challenges. Most of what they do now has nothing to do with practical, everyday sort of stuff.

Not cool for you to put up something they thought would be private and make it public. That is in very poor taste, and I really think you have lost your argument.

I have asked this guy not to message me before, yet he insists on continuing to do so... So no, I don't think I have lost the argument that TG fanboys are extraordinarily irritating. I was hoping if I posted that up there he would stop, but much to my dismay, he just sent me another... there is no personal or sensitive info in them, just senseless ranting from a stupid fanboy

I'd like to add that Frenchdayz is private messaging me so that he does not get neg repped, and that's all...

here is his other message:

What has being stupid or an annoying nuisance got to do with private
messages ? I dont agree with what is happening on the fifthgear youtube
link but i also think its up to you as a fan to take the stick and when
necessary defend the show as i do with TG on a regular basis as Jeremy
Clarkson is not liked by many, Richard Hammond's clothes not liked by
others and James May not liked by women. I feel it is my duty as a
'fanboy' to stand my ground but put up with the shit !
