She wasn't really lying, but it was framed in a way to make the car seem a lot more interesting than it is.

So...what exactly does the "test" show? They a helicopter can pass this magical Toyota, and yet, still be behind it?

Is this the same car as the US Venza?

So it's like a Camry wagon then, or is it situated somewhere else as far as market placement?

So how come VBH is doing a Dutch commercial? I didn't get to watch much of it, it was very slow to load so I gave up.

And what the hell is the Venza? Never seen it here, and I'm very glad.

At the end she raced a helicopter...

It is kinda funny, because there's a whole tab about "Who's Vicki?" so it seems as though she's not a well known celebrity there...

The Avensis is also available as a sedan and looks pretty similar in size to the Camry. As far as I know, the Camry isn't sold in the same regions that the Avensis sedan is sold in. So I guess the Camry, Avensis, and the Australian Toyota Aurion share the same market in different regions. The Venza is more of a SUV (or at least that's what Toyota says) than a wagon, so the Avensis estate is different in that sense.

The Avensis estate makes a helluva lot more sense to me than the Venza does though. People buy the Camry because it's affordable and practical, those same people would probably go for a wagon version as well.

Interesting...

The Venza is kinda funny...if only because of Toyota's way of answering questions about it.

Q: Is it an SUV?
A: Of course not. It's a crossover with all the practicality of the SUV, but it drives like a car, and more importantly, high mpg!

Q: Is it a wagon?
A: Of course not. It's a crossover with all the practicality of a wagon , the fuel ecomony and the driveability of a car, but with none of the stigma of the typical "Station Wagon" from your parents' day, and features the high ride hight of an SUV.

Q: Is it a crossover?
A: Of course not. The public doesn't really get turned on by that name, so it's...umm...a wagony-SUVish...thing.

One car magazine got it both ways on the car. Toyota was billing it as an SUV, but than last minuted pulled it out of the SUV of the Year competition, saying it wasn't an SUV...but when they asked about classifying it as a "car" Toyota said something along the lines of "But it's so much more..." It ended up NOT getting counted for either.

That's just a tragic thing for her to do, really...to top it off, they showed her from some really unflattering angles.

There's only one classification left for something that looks like that, therefore, it's a minivan. Nice job, Toyota, on narrowing it down to the most hated type of vehicle there is.
