It took some string pulling and a lot of work to get a copy of it, but Monday's Top Gear Australia is now available for download.

Out of curiosity, why does it take 'string-pulling' to get a [PiX] torrent of TGAU, but we're able to get a [PiX] torrent of TGUK within an hour of broadcast?

The problem for us is that the Scene (in general) hates P2P and us sharing their rips. Releases have to get "leaked" to P2P sites. I don't have Scene FTP access and cannot do that. I rely on others doing that and uploading them to a few private torrent sites I have an account on. I then download that private torrent, retorrent the file for us, and release.

Any delays in any part of that chain (Scene group, release spreading, private torrent being released) delays me.

i think it's the popularity of the rip. the more interest there is in a show then the more chances there are of someone in the scene willing to leak it out.

Exactly. Since I lack Scene FTP access, I rely on private torrent sites, none of which had the rip meaning I couldn't redistribute it.
