This is very short notice, but the people going to the filming of Top Gear America on Saturday will be meeting up afterwards.
Even if you aren't going to the taping, you're still welcome to come.

As a British ex-pat Final Gear lurker living in San Diego, I managed to get TopGear pilot tickets thanks to the tip off on the site...so, I figured it was time to sign up to the forums at last.
I do have another engagement to get away to soon after the filming, so I might not be able to stick around for long, but I'll be keen to catch up with as many of you as possible, especially those living in SoCal.

Also, I notice on the tickets it says:
"ABSOLUTELY NO CELL PHONES, PAGERS, OR CAMERAS WILL BE ALLOWED INSIDE THE STUDIO. PLEASE LEAVE THESE ITEMS IN YOUR CAR AS SECURITY PERSONNEL WILL CONFISCATE THEM TEMPORARILY WHILE YOU ARE PARTICIPATING IN THE STUDIO AUDIENCE."
...so there may not be all that many pictures to be had...

Tried to get tickets for this a few days ago, wish I knew about it earlier as I work 15 miles away from the studio!! Loved Top Gear since the first series (yes, I'm that old). Defo up for a meet afterwards, where? when guys?
If you want a place with a view, maybe Neptune's Net On the 1 Freeway is a good idea, but it's always crowded on a weekend and is slightly out of the way (being in Malibu).
Okay. I too am going to the pre-show...whilst I have no desire to see Mel B or Howie Mandel, I DO like the Idea of being guaranteed entry to TG.
I'm pretty sure we'll be able to identify ourselves once a couple of us have found eachother. I for one don't mind being greeted with a blank stare when I ask a complete stranger or three if they're from 'Final Gear'.
Of course, I could upload something for each of us to download and pin/stick on ourselves...but there's no need for that, is there?
I'll hopefully be arriving by about 1pm...so although I won't be able to hang around for long after (hence not contributing to the 'where to go for drinks/food debate) I'm sure a few of us can at least get to know each other and exchange numbers/email addresses as appropriate.

I'm new here, but i live in LA. Depending on where you all decide to go I might be able to join in. I'll monitor this thread on Saturday.
I'll be there for sure, going to arrive no later than 3pm just to make sure I get a spot. If you want to meet at my car, it will probably be the only bright yellow Scion xB in the parking lot
