I wouldn't have a dedicated rig to fold like some people do. But I was going to fold on my X1950 once I get a new rig build. $50 a year in electricity is not too bad, but this blatant Nvidia bias by stopping support of the X19xx series card piss me off. I'm probably going to switch to WCG or maybe Rosetta@Home later on.

I don't know how you can call it bias... Just because they've stopped supporting your particular ATi Card.

They now have a new GPU client that supports newer ATi & Nvidia graphics cards. I guess they develop what they think will get the best yield from their donator's computers hardware.

My 8800GTS can get almost 500 points per 3.5 hours, That's over 3000 per day or 21000 per week.

Not that I leave it on that much.

You notice the slowdown when moving windows about, but when just surfing the internet, you can't really tell the difference

It is biased though. The 8800GTX can produce almost 3x the points per day as the 4850, while the 4850 equals or sometimes beats out the 8800GTX in games. So the computing power is there, but the dev team just choose not to explore it.

On the forums it looks like the problem isn't so much with the card or the client but rather the programming language. NVidia's CUDA seems to be more mature at the moment.

The GPU1 core was removed because it used DirectX and returned inaccurate results.

Saying that, 4850s can still get over 2500PPD

That's the reason they gave, but it's not necessarily the true reason. Just like Codemaster said Dirt won't work with Crossfire because the way it's programed, but now after the new drivers it works very well in Crossfire. Just because they are not willing to fix the problem doesn't mean it can't be fixed. Their move to support Nvidia cards and neglecting the new ATI 4850 cards tells me that Nvidia definitely paid them off in some form. I predict when the next gen DX11 cards comes out, support for ATI cards will be dropped and only Nvidia cards will be able to fold.

Same here, but I don't leave my PS3 on when I'm not using it. F@H only pops on when I forgot and left my PS3 on.

I don't feel like paying $50/year or whatever or wearing my PS3 out to leave it on all the time.
