So does anyone here donate their spare/idle CPU power towards any distributed computing projects?
Such as Folding@Home, Seti@Home, etc...

I've seen some people do it ... it was the one to find aliens... I heard if you contributed to finding them you would get quite a substantial amount of money

I ran SETI@Home via BOINC for a while, but I've recently tried to make a switch to Folding@Home as I think it'll be a better use of my cycles (better cause). The client is more of a pain in the ass though when it comes to my "dual" (hyperthreading) processors.

I'm with BroadBandReports.com myself. Team ID #4 or something.
Perhaps we should start our own grou for F@H and all switch to it... ![]()

So before I go and make a group that no one joins, who here would be seriously interested in dropping whatever team they're in and switching to a team for this site? No way in hell we'd ever become highly ranked, but I still think it'd be fun.
And no, I'm not going to be offended if you would rather stick with your current group. ![]()
