na... thankfully not much bandwidth is used... it only uses bandwidth when you finish a work-unit and have to uploaded it and download a new one.

No, I think that if a dead section gets a certain amount of new posts within a certain period of time, it becomes active again. Maybe that is the case. Or Ren's skills faulted.
