Just thought I'd drop by this thread and mention...

A local Brewery (Grandville Island Brewing Co) makes seasonal beers. For October they have made a pumpkin spice ale. It is now officially one of my favorite beers. It's like drinking a pumpkin pie. It's so good. The only thing is that is could be slightly darker.

Try Samuel Smiths' Old Brewery Bitter or Wadworths 6X - dark and smooth - yummy.

i can't say i'm pretty fond of dark beers either...

they taste nice, but once i'm halfway the glass, i wished it was already empty so i can order a pale beer

Seriously, most people I know who don't like our dark beers blame it on the fact that they are all quite 'heavy' and feel like they fill up the stomach faster then blond lagers......

Zelfs als ze het doorhebben, ze gaan het toch niet snappen vrees ik.
Ik heb al lang opgegeven buitenlanders te converteren....het lukt zelfs met de meeste Belgen niet als ik de rommel zie die bij ons het meest wordt verkocht

Speaking of wheat beer, just drank a Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. Much better than you would think! As delicious as a wheat ale, but with a slight cherry flavor to counteract the bitterness.
