Default 2007 Monaco Grand Prix

http://img501.imageshack.us/img501/6738/monajq9.gif

Here it is. The worlds greatest street circuit. Formula 1's crown jewel.

Will this be the first win for one L. Hamilton?
Will Alonso get his championship challenge back on track?
Will Kimi's Ferrari be bullet proof?
Will Massa crash?
Will Spyker's Adrian Sutil go as well as some key people think?
Can Red Bull get on the podium?
Will Super Aguri score more points?
What will the Honda be like with full downforce?

All this and more, Monaco GP, Sunday May 27.

Let the discussion begin.

I think you're making this topic too early, there will be too much off topic and the actual race discussion will be in page 3

Will this be the first win for one L. Hamilton? Possibly
Will Alonso get his championship challenge back on track? Yes
Will Kimi's Ferrari be bullet proof? It may be bullet proof but will it be wall proof?
Will Massa crash? More than likely at some point over the weeknd
Will Spyker's Adrian Sutil go as well as some key people think? As in making the 1st corner? Yes
Can Red Bull get on the podium? Damn right they can
Will Super Aguri score more points? No
What will the Honda be like with full downforce?
As rubbish as ever.

I love this race - seriously the best race of the year. I'm having a few mates around and a few beers (and most likely nacho's too) to watch the race live off the net - If it's a cracker then I'll probably watch the replay on channel 10

I am really looking forward to seeing what Hamilton can do considering that he has an unbeaten record at Monaco.

1) No
2) Yes - Podium finish so he can shut up all the people who doubt his ability.
3) Yes
4) No - but if he doesn't qualify in the top 3 he won't be on the podium for the checkered flag.

The rest I am not as confident about but I'll give em a go.

5) No, I think he will retire early in the race.
6) No but a top 10 finish.
7) Not this round.
8 Well if they don't retire from hitting each other images/smilies/lol.gif they'll finish in the top 15.

I'm excited to watch the Monaco GP since I've never seen it. I started watching F1 during the last half of the season last year so all these GPs are new to me and they've been great to watch so I can't wait to watch this especially since I'm graduating soon.

Provided the car hangs together, I'm expecting a mega qualifying from Webber... only to drop out after 15 laps.

I'll say yes.

Nah.

I'm sure Ferrari will be working pretty hard on Kimi's car to keep their sparkling reliability reputation.

I don't think so. He's been pretty sharp, except for at Malaysia.

No.

Only if DC drives as well as he did in the last race and Red Bull gets their act together with the reliability gremlins.

No.

Will this be the first win for one L. Hamilton? I hope not, he is too arrogant saying Monaco is his first win since he was able to won in Monaco during his session in GP2 and F3.
Will Alonso get his championship challenge back on track? No, it is not his type of circuit, even if he won last year.
Will Kimi's Ferrari be bullet proof? No, he is too lazy to do anything except driving fast.
Will Massa crash? Yup. Monaco is not his type of tea.
Will Spyker's Adrian Sutil go as well as some key people think? Adrian seems to be doing good, but i don't think Spyker can give him a good car, so no.
Can Red Bull get on the podium? Well, David has won twice there and was able to get on the podium last year with Red Bull, so it could happen.
Will Super Aguri score more points? No, they won't.
What will the Honda be like with full downforce? I don't think they will improve.

I wonder if we will see Kimi on his boat again??

I agree with Paul. If Lewis doesnt win now, then he's going to look bad.

I dont think he ever said 'I'm definately gonna win, see you on the winners podium', but we can't blame him for feeling confident about his chances because he has a great record behind him at Monaco.

So yeah, looking foward to a Hamilton victory, Alonso second and preferably both Ferraris ending up in the harbour! Well at least DNFs from both anyway. Would like to see the Red Bulls get up there and fight for the podium. DC and Webber are both very good at Monaco and the RB3 is coming along very strong. Would be good to see some sort of resurgence from Renault as well, and an inspired Nico Rosberg in a hooked up Williams is a good prospect as well!

I read it somewhere that he promised McLaren that he would win at Monaco. I'll try and find it.

You are in for a treat, I think Monaco is the best GP. I would love to go there and watch it one day.

I'm expecting/hoping for a strong performance from RBR, especially Webber if his car survives.

I expect one of the Ferrari's to win, probably Kimi.

I'd definitely like to see this. It must be something the reporters spinned to make it look like he said that. Although I HATE when people compare Hamilton to being the next MS, he still is good and having lots of luck. I don't understand why if he doesn't win that it will look bad. It'll only be his 5th race and no one would have thought he would have done so well up until this point.

Yeah it sounds like a great track. Would be nice to go to all the GPs one year but you'd have to have quite a few coins in your pocket.

So what if he did? I've no problem with him making a promise to the team - after all it's going to help morale. And that's a very different thing to coming out in the press and saying "I'm going to win".

There's a lot of Hamilton haters around right now - and I can't really see why. The guy's confident in his abilities (you need to be to operate at this level), and he knows he has the machinery to do the job. He's not being arrogant, and he still realises that's he's been very fortunate to be in the position he's in.

He knows his way around Monaco, and he's driving well, so he's fully justified in feeling confident of a good result. You can't afford to have self-doubt in F1 - you'll get eaten alive.
