For me a Grand Prix car should be Black, with Gold trim, and built by Lotus. images/smilies/smile.gif

For me it has to be the 67 Eagle T1G and the Hondas form this season (the whole earth thing was pretty cool and took a lot of balls to do) and specially the all-black pre-season car, they dind't win but they where pretty good to see in the track

Not to be entirely picky, but that's a Lotus 78; you can tell by the funky "wrap around the helmet" intake (not always used on the 78, but never used on the 79), the shorter sidepods, and the oil cooler up in the nose (a total giveaway).

This is the Lotus 79 - Probably one of the best F1 cars of all time.

1994 Benetton B194 - One of the best liveries ever IMO.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a228/MikeyM/B194.jpg

The best JPS Lotus (with it's best driver)
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a228/MikeyM/lotussenna.jpg

The gorgeous McLaren Honda - in the most memorable livery in F1 history (Ferrari's colour is - but their livery has changed) - (Actually I just noticed it's the McLaren Ford - but the Livery is the same more or less and Senna's in the cockpit) LOL!
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a228/MikeyM/1993-ayrton-senna.jpg

And speaking of Ferarri's - I give to you the best ever Ferarri livery IMO
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a228/MikeyM/1995.jpg

Oh and I watched an old GP tape the other day and I think the 1994-7 Rothmans livery on the Williams was pretty smart too - I'll see if I can dig out a picture.http://www.marksf1models.co.uk/Minichamps/Williams/950095med.jpg

Which, funnily enough looks just like any other Ferrari ever built! images/smilies/tongue.gif Nah, I joke, the 1995 Ferrari was a suberb looking machine. Not sure I agree on the Benetton livery though, thought the 1995 one was better tbh. And that McLaren MP4-8 is also a lovely looking machine. So simple and elegant. I have that model sitting on a shelf in my bedroom.

You, sir, have great taste. images/smilies/tongue.gif I was surprised to see that most people didn't include the 191 in their lists... such a gorgeous car.

I prefer the B194, the green looked excellent, the B195 was too white. As for the Ferarri, I just think the black in the wings sets the red off nicely. An all red Ferarri F1 car can look like a toy. Although the paintjob on the red this year was nice.

The unpainted 191 was stunning, and they improved on it with the green.

As for my favourite Honda, well here it is....

I don't know about the best looking car of each decade, but the best looking car of the 2007 season would have to be this in my opinion.

http://pic.phyrefile.com/2007/12/05/87524.jpg

As for the decades, I'll have to think about it more and get back to you all.
