And that as a young person frightens me..I see Clarkson and the boys having the time of their lives in cars...I want to do that one day..like them..but that film just made me think..what if...that never happens to me..? |

It's not over yet, I'm sure he caught the attention of the new teams.

But he has no money. Unless Toyota are willing to dip into their coffers and sponsor him somewhere, which won't happen. There are a LOT of names on the list before Kobayoshi.
Don't get me wrong the guy is fast enough to deserve a drive, more so than Nakajima does probably. But I would say at the moment he isn't even the best available Japanese driver, that goes to Sato.

I wouldn't mind seeing Kobayashi, Buemi and Alguersuari on the grid next year.

Buemi is a definite candidate for a spot, probably to replace Weber in Red Bull in 2011. Algersuari, if he keeps his seat in STR, probably has 6-7 races to do something, otherwise he's a goner. Gro should quit now, Toyota must buy a seat for KK at least for half a season, could be in Ranault, STR or even Sauber.

Buemi has some talent but I dont think he'll rock the establishment and I certainly can't justify a reason why he might be a candidate to replace Webber, beyond those which are political. A more obvious solution would be for him to replace Vettel when he eventually leaves. As for the rest; Alguersuari, Grosjean and even the impressive Kobayashi would benefit greatly from more testing. |
