on F2 i always used a controller, manual gears and always had ABS on....... i would normally have TC off on lower powered cars, but the higher power cars i had to turn it back on because i just cant keep decent control of them

I dislike using manual gears on console games usually. PC Sim's i'm fine with my G25. Just controllers i don't like with manual gears.

Actually this was something i was thinking of asking the FG players as well. I did it with a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo (the one you get given when you reach a certain level). But i was wondering what or is there a better one to go with.

I found drifting online with nothing on at all (except using auto trans) was best.

Then I started the normal races offline again, not knowing the same aide set-up as online.

And I've taken to it fine, no aides except for auto trans lol.

An untuned M1 for me. The long gears mean you aren't always in between gears like on other cars, and the handling is brilliant. A bit of sideways action is possible if you want as well.

woo xblox arrived, setting it up now...... buuut... my hdmi cable to my screen and the other huuuge cable into the xbox which is supposed to give me sound from my speakers... both of them will not fit at the same time... so how do i set up sound and hdmi? O.o

I did the following: I had a xbox360 to component (3 colors for video) cable with a socket for optical sound. This + the hdmi cabel wouldn't fit in the back of the xbox. But I wanted video via hdmi + DD5.1

I simply cut away the plastic on the bottom of the component connector. Underneath is enough space to fit the hdmi cable and then comes a metal casing of the components inside, so you can't really damage anything... I used a dental technician drill in my practice, but a run of the mill dremel should do just as well...

Feel free to pm me for pics... BTW: I was really bummed that the Elite has hdmi but no separate digital audio out. Not cool, MS, but you don't fuck me out of the 30 Euros you wanna charge for your shitty cable...

How to get it to work: First start it up using only the hdmi cable, then when you're in the dashboard, plug the connector with the optical output it. The box will restart and in the settings tap report as being in HDMI+A mode.
You only have to do this once, as long as the box isn't without power it will remember this setting!!!

Kinda liked Renault 5 Turbo in both D and C class (I think, or was it E and D), really good mid engined and RWD, but then I found out that the 93 Miata just pwned it.

Light RWD is the way to go I think. In lower classes light FWD is good too because it doesn't really matter if you don't have too much power.

Haven't really tried fast cars on Fujimi yet or had the time play Forza this week. images/smilies/sad.gif

Thats so odd. Thats how my system was set up for a long time. HDMI for video and optical for audio. My HDMI cable fit fine with the audio dongle like what you pictures. No mods needed. Mine was a first gen Elite.

Now it doesn't, I got a generic HDMI cable, but its rather thin and flexible, no way it would fit with the original xbox pro (very first 20gb one) av cable.
Well, it would fit, but MS decided back then that the thing is supposed to be way bigger than it needs to be...

Ahh yes, that would be why. Yes, I have the MS HDMI. I have other HDMIs, but they are for stuff like dvr and the PS3 (which has great outlet spacing). They really did muck up the rear of the 360, but then again there are so many design flaws that its not suprising. All in a bid to beat the PS3 out of the gate to dominate this console generation. I wonder if they knew the PS3 would be like it is, would the 360 be designed better? Or is one of the reasons the PS3 isn't doing too well because of the 360's lead time? Things to ponder.

Sorry, this is off topic.. back to Forza. Awesome game.. great game. I'd recommend it to a friend (and have) images/smilies/smile.gif
