I haven't checked, but I'm willing to bet that the E-type won.

Why so little love for the DS? I adore it's shape.

Admittedly I wouldn't call it the second most beautiful car in the world, but it's not actively ugly.

It should be top 50, at any rate.

That is the Citroen DS that should be on the list, not the early model.

I stopped looking after I saw the Land Rover Defender at 85... ahead of the Toyota 2000GT.

The Defender MAY be (in depending on options and things) look cool, but it's FAR from beautiful.

I am sooooo flabbergasted right now....

Rover SD-1 ahead of Volvo P1800, Triumph TR6, Maserati 3500GT, FERRARI 250 GT for christ's sake !!!.....and the list goes on....and on.....and on...

I mean for fuck's sake, the Land Rover Defender.....this truly can not represent the majority of opinions within british population.....I mean of all the people in the world you would think the brits would rank the Triumphs and such very high, but noooo....let's put the Ford Granada instead....I am so very much confused my head still hurts...and yes, I also guessed the winner without looking. Kind of obvious choice.

I was mildly surprised by some of the choices until I spotted the Mercedes SL 300 at #13 behind a Jaguar Mk2 and realized this is must be an early April fools day joke.

Yeah, that list was rubbish. There where many cars on there that should have been on the ugliest cars list. As soon as I saw the ford GT40 in the 80s, I knew it was bad.

I'm going to have to disagree. Wasn't that car displayed in the Louvre at one point?

I guess I'm the only person that thinks the XJ220 is one of the ugliest cars ever? It's a boat of a car that was supposed to look streamlined but is just offensively horrid.

I agree that it's not beautiful, but it's not meant to "look streamlined" it IS. It's why it has song a long low front and tall long ass.

I really do think that the Citroen DS is worthy of being named as one of the most beautiful cars of all time. It's not good looking in the same sporty sense that the other cars are, but it's a tremendously beautiful design nonetheless.

It was also revolutionary for its time both mechanically and design wise: the DS19 was released in 1955 not only with those looks but with power steering, disc brakes and hydropneumatic suspension.

Frankly, if you think the DS is ugly then you're clearly showing your age.
