The Jerrari is a beautiful Tawny Orange '77 Wagoneer with a 4.4 litre V-12 Ferrari engine, 5 speed Ferrari tranny and a Quadra-Trac transfer case. The claimed top-speed is 140 MPH
This was built for William F. Harrah back in the 70s to use to commute the 60 miles to South Lake Tahoe in the winter time.

I have to say that this thing kicks all kinds of ass.images/smilies/wink.gif

That could very well be the coolest car I've ever seen.

images/smilies/thumbsup.gif, although I am biased, as I like any car with a cylinder count that is a multiple of 6.

That is all kinds of awesome, but it's not fulfilling its purpose stuck in a museum is it? It should be out there getting the guts revved out of it.

I'm not all that impressed. It's just a Jeep with a Ferrari engine, what's the big deal? images/smilies/dunno.gif That's probably because I'm not a big fan of engine swaps. I stopped visiting a local car forum because I got tired of seeing "you should do the B35483948sfe swap with the TRX4348u54rtk tranny and the Zer83 BOV for your PIL43527 turbo. It would be sweet!!!!1!" in just about every damn thread. I just don't get engine swaps. I'm much more impressed with someone getting a lot of power with the limitations of the stock engine.

It's cool because it's unique. Buy a 360 or a 430 and you'll be just one of thousands.

You don't always have to wear everything on your sleeve. Sleepers are cool. I'd rather be underestimated then over.

hm, thats an interesting and relatively cheap sounding project, a 400 engine probably aint that expensive and if not a jeep, then some other old car

I also think its cool. He needed a bigger car with 4wd to go to the lake with. But he also wanted a car that could outrun most of the cars on the road. Sadly in those days there were no Cayenne Turbos and such. So he made it. And thats cool.

My thoughts exactly. Although it should definitely get driven, not just sit in that museum.

Yeah that's cool but just think, that means there's a 400 running around with an old AMC 360 V-8 in it. images/smilies/tongue.gif

I can't help thinking I'd rather have a Ferrari engine, in a Ferrari. Not in some tatty old Jeep.

I just try to imagine the sound of an old school Ferrari engine in a Jeep....and I have some doubts about the driveabelity, guess it won't have to much torque in the the lower regions which is essential for a 4x4.
