good read... I'd still like to see that Road and Track Compo...

Our closest answer to Jeremy Clarkson (next to John Philips III of Car and Driver, and Erza Dyer of Automobile Magazine - hey, there's three of 'em, how about US Top Gear then?), and another reason why he won a Pulitzer. Bravo.
Combined with Porsche's revised variable-valve timing (VarioCam) — and a host of exotic engine upgrades and cybernetic engine systems such to make your local ASE-certified mechanic want to hang himself from his lift![]()
Great article, well written![]()
^Yep. Very clearly written - like it.
Excellent read.

John Phillips, man- his New Zealand journey had me on the floor for days. I don't know why, it just stuck a chord with me. It's the second oldest C/D I still have.
Even though Top Gear soured me on magazines like C/D in general, I still have a huge amount of respect for J.P... someone has said its almost as if he belongs in a different magazine.
I believe the Best Letter for Sept. put it aptly: "as out of place as a eunuch at a Viagra convention."Originally Posted by 3Colin
