ADAC Charity Challenge 2009 - The MacGuffin Report

Alright, I'm back. And only 2 forum members were there, including me. What a shame

However, it was a sunny day and there was a lot to see and watch. I got sunburn on my arms and my neck.

It will take a while to sort and upload my pics and vids, so the most important news first: There was no Bugatti Veyron this year!!!

However, there was something else. Let me give you a hint:

No idea? Let me give you a second hint:

    My upload speed sucks

P.S.: When did you get home? I left the Autobahn and took the scenic route, after I was overtaken by two police cars, followed by a radio announcement of an accident ahead. Took me one hour more to get home but last thing I heard before I arrived, was that the traffic jam behind the accident was 10 km long.

Why does the CCXR have 6 pedals?

Edit: OH WAIT BLOODY HELL IS THAT A REFLECTION?

There are 3 pedals and a reflection in the carbonfiber.

I went home around 3 o'clock, but I have a different route from the Maschener Kreuz than you do so I had no problems getting home.

    Yup, as Lupin_IV said that's a reflection.

I like the combined instrument of the Koenigsegg, it combines RPM, speed and boost of the supercharger in one dial...

I'm sorry to burst your bubble but that was a 190 SL, not a 300 SL.

Pictures are now uploaded but believe it or not: YouTube is still not ready. The videos have been uploading since last night. Probably because I chose HD quality

All in all I'm uploading 22 clips to YouTube but I won't link them all to here! I will only link the most interesting ones. So if you wanna see them all, you have to check my account on YouTube for yourself.

Anyway, here are the pics. Please bare with me, if they are not all perfect. I used a brand new camera and still have to figure out some of its features and peculiarities.

The Testarossa alone would have been worth coming. Still the best-looking car Ferrari ever did.

On the ADAC driving safety center in Embsen, just outside of Lüneburg.

The event is every year. They promised to bring the Veyron again next year. This year the owner had to cancel his participation on short notice. At least that's what the speaker said.

It's a nice event in general: Enough parking space, good catering, an air-conditioned building with a small restaurant -- and the best thing is that entrance is free.

You only pay when you buy something or take part in the raffle or buy a "ticket" for a ride in those sports cars. All the money goes into a foundation to help sick children.
