Default Anyone else going to the Charity Challenge in Lüneburg tomorrow?

This is a question to folks in mid and Northern Germany.

The ADAC is doing the 3rd Charity Challenge at their Lüneburg driver's training center and test track tomorrow.

For those who do not know what it is: Owners of sports cars like Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Maserati, etc. gather there and offer rides in their cars for charity reasons. You pay 10-30 Euros or something and get a ride around the track in a car of your choice.

It's probably a nice event to see a lot of nice sports cars on one spot and in action. The event is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Here's a link: http://www.fsz-lueneburg.de/aktionen/detail/?tx_ttnews[tt_news]=16&tx_ttnews[backPid]=531&cHash=c3ae6a9028

So... anyone else but me going there? images/smilies/smile.gif

damn, i didn't know about that.
Well, I live in Braunschweig so it wouldn't be too far but sadly I currently am at my parents place.

Edit: do you know if there is a timetable for the event?

Why didn't you ask that earlier? I was away yesterday so I only saw it now... images/smilies/sad.gif

I'll give you my cellphone number via PM, maybe you still read it (who knows, maybe via UMTS or whatever you have) and you can call me. I'm on my way.

Fan-fuckin-tastic! images/smilies/banana.gif

MacGuffin and me met there and had a beautiful day, best weather for such an event, not overcrowded and you could talk to the drivers. images/smilies/smile.gif

I'm just back at home, there were awesome cars, among them:

- Bugatti Veyron (images/smilies/w00t.gif I never saw one in person before, what a car!)
- Gumpert Apollo
- Ferrari 250 (don't know the exact name but it was definitely a 250)
- Zimmer Quicksilver, never heard of that car before
- Sunbeam Tiger (I was passenger for 7 laps, 400 bhp in such a little car is simply staggering images/smilies/w00t.gif )
- Rinspeed Porsche 930 Turbo Cabrio (badge inside stated "0001 Proto Tipo")
- Bentley Continental Flying Spur (that one hasn't been driven on the track but on the roads around the track since that car is pointless at such a small track)
- Treser quattro Roadster (Audi Ur-quattro converted into a convertible, was in the car park)
- Two Cobras
- Three Vipers
- Four or five Wiesmanns (Roadster and GT)
- Old Mustangs, Corvettes (C2/Sting Ray, C3/Coke Bottle, C5, C6), american road cruisers like Cadillac Eldorado Coupé and so on and so forth
- Numerous 911s (Turbo, Targa, GT2, GT3) from almost every generation

Unfortunately I don't have a digicam so we have to wait for MacGuffin to get home and upload his pics.

I'm home now and am currently in the process of transferring 600 MB of pics and videos to my PC. So with processing (mainly making the pics smaller) and uploading it will take some time but from what I saw so far, it's worth the wait images/smilies/wink.gif

I will start a new topic in the vehicle sightings section when I'm ready.
