What ground clearance? Besides that, ideas are always good, even if they're crap. And this one is definitely....crap.

Those wheels look wery ...twisted? I don't know the right term but look at the front wheel. It's not straight but crooked inwards. Ugh.

OK, I see the convertible bit, but you're going to have to help me out with the offroader part. Those low-profile, shallow tread tires don't look particularly off-roady, and it has about the same ground clearance as the van I drive. What part of this car, exactly, would help it off-road?

I can already see the queue of dumb housewives lining up to buy one and take little jimmie to school in it. I can also see these being parked near fancy cafes

images/smilies/puke.gifAnyone named Adolf would look great in it. (yeah, I know it's not a 4 door, but I don't give a damn).

I just showed it to my mother and she said, "That hood symbol is fucking glowing! Gag me with a dipstick!"

I wouldnt mind having a sporty looking convertible that has a bit more ground clearance. I love the high sitting position (well obviously not in a murcielago and such ) . And now with the top off. Why not. I think its cool. And I dont see it really as an offroader first. Obviously its not a real offroad vehicle even though the quattro drive is very good.

I think they're trying to pull of the same grille idea that Chrysler did with the 300, except Chrysler actually pulled it off, haha.

Yep. 8) Sort of.

As for the Audi, it's just another concept car that will not see production.

Sorry for bringing a dead thread back from the depths, but I just remembered that Audi wasn't the first to make an offroad convertible concept with high ground clearance.

Anyone remember the BMW Z18 concept?
