I was about to say that there was no need to ask the question, you don't walk away from something like that, but then I looked at the first reply in the thread that's has pictures of another crash where the driver did live:

The handbrake is pulled images/smilies/wacko.gif

Or he might just pulled that when he knew he was going to crash

Just think about that, you showing off with 3 friends in the back...that's what I hate about all these kids being tough driving with high speeds and jerking the steeringwheel to show them they can handle it...

90kph against a tree is still a lot.
I think that the speedo will stick near instantaneous if it is a head on collision, however this appears to be a side impact into a tree, so I suspect the engine might have kept spinning a fraction longer.

And trees like that tend to not absorb any of the impact forces.

Just look at all the metal wrapped around it.

never been in an accident at that speed. (actually only been in accidents where our car was parked at the moment and we were sitting in it (2 times allready images/smilies/vampire.gif ). but seen plenty of cars that came out A LOT better than this audi. but maybe the damage is due to the fact he crashed agains the three. the car bended and teared in pieces. where if it had hit a wall, it would have been a small cube.

anyways, when i drive 90, i still feel pretty safe, i don't have the feeling the car will fall apart when hitting sth. more sth for 200kph+

Oh man, this is terrible - since the car is want is an Audi A3. What exactly happened there? whats the story behind this because it seems to be that the car was doing a high speed and then there was some kind of crash and the car hit a few trees because it couldn't have been just the one tree.
