Default BMW: "That's why we don't have front-wheel drive."

I thought this was excellent, along with the rest of BMW's ad campaigns.

"That's why we don't have front-wheel drive."

Basically, "we're freaking awesome, and you're not." 8)

A Rabbit... Seems like a blow at VW (if any cares to remember, one of the better FWD cars out there was the VW Rabbit which later went on to become the GTi)

Don't forget 'Fast' is a rabbit. It seems BMW and Subaru are now both having a crack at VW's ads. Nice.

remember this?

There's a very good reason BMW don't make front-wheel drive cars.

It'd interfere with their Mini sales [especially if the 1-series was FWD]. And it'd mean the cars could be cheaper, and they wouldn't get away with charging so much images/smilies/tongue.gif

For me a car uses it's frontwheels for steering and rearwheels for the power.
That's why I drive BMW.

i got this ad totally wrong...i first thought:"yeah, FWD cars understeer into the rabbit sitting in the middel of the road, while RWD cars drift around it..."
ok, the rabbit did look a bit weird...but what do i know about rabbits...
then i read the post by deathfiend and everything became clear. images/smilies/lol.gif

my favourite BMW ad is still this one:
http://home.quicknet.nl/qn/prive/nico.tol/Fahrfreude.jpg
reads: even a mercedes can deliver driving pleasure. 8)

^ It's great. But it's probably just a parody, not real.

Nice. We don't get BMW adverts like that in the UK, its against our advertisings rules to diss rivals.

As for the original topic. RWD is best, every decent car I have had has been RWD, and the rubbish ones were always FWD.
