Norway - Atlantic Road

The Atlantic Road zigzags across 12 low bridges that jut out over the sea, linking the islands between Molde and Kristiansund in the western Fjords.

Edit: It even has it's own page on this Norwegian travelguide.

Yes, it's the Atlantic Ocean Road. I was there in the summer of 2005, and sorry to burst your bubble, it wasn't that great. Firstly it was rather short, and not very spectacular. It was in the middle of the summer that I was there, perhaps it's more exciting in different weather? I don't know...

Furthermore we were on our way from Ålesund to Kristiansund and then to Trondheim, so we took a detour, I wouldn't say it was very much worth that...

In our defense, we have a few 90 kph and 100 kph roads as well, but yes, most average motorways are 80km/h images/smilies/sad.gif

I can imagine the speed limit across this bridge is 60 kph, so if you did 80 and got caught you would be fined £350/€525 images/smilies/blink.gif
