Don't watch Gumball 2004 then. A 360 Modena gets totalled, a Ferrari hits the curb and looses a wheel, Hennessey Viper gets totalled, Lambo hits a car, and a Ford Escort Cosworth gets written off. I think that's all. Watched it last night but can't remember now. images/smilies/lol.gif

Read the description. The 360 lost control and ended up on train tracks. Also, the damage isn't as bad as it seems. Mostly body work.

is the Gumball 2004 movie out yet?... and btw... I think there would be alot more damage than just bodywork... I think the whole undercarriage might be ruined and maybe a bent chassis which you can't fix to the same condition as the car was before the crash

The pictures made me think about ferrari/safty... Not a very common topic. I would doubt they go though any serious safty tests. Partly because they are italian, partly because u don't buy a ferrari because u want a safe car. But that are just presumtions, does anyone have facts? I very much doubt there are independent crash tests on ferraris, who would have the guts to destroy such a beauty... Anyways, does anyone know?

Yes, they undergo SAFETY tests.....they have to, in order to sell them here. That's the reason why you can't drive a Porsche 959 in North America - because Porsche refused to supply the required number (I think it was 10) cars for safety testing, and hence, they are not road legal over here. images/smilies/thumbdown.gif

uh, WHY exactly wouldn't they undergo safety (safty sound pussy, you Swede images/smilies/wink.gif) tests, just cuz it's a sportscar? If any car should undergo these tests, it is these types of cars. Just think of the other people on the road! They deserve to know that sportscars are safe on the road, both for the owner/driver, and others on the road .....

r u sure? i never heard about crash test on those exclusive cars, and have been looking on the internet, could find results for all cars, but not for any supercar brand

and both yahoo and msn say that the NHTSA did NOT test the 360 and F40 or diablo (the ones i looked for), and still you can buy them

or take TVR for instance: tubular, very strong chassis with no bend areas what so ever, no airbags, ... how could it be safe?
or those cars made out of carbon fibre, carbon fibre is very strong, untill it shatters, and then it's sharper than glass, not very safe either

Maybe it's a different organization?? I don't know, but I do know for a fact that the 959 is not road legal in North America for the reasons that I previously stated.

Oh man. Looking at those Ferrari Enzo pictures on wreckedexotics made me extremely depressed. I mean, shit, I bet the guys at Ferrari who built the cars are even more depressed and pissed at the owners.
