Default Car options for around 17000 USD (15000 EUR)

My GF is not really satisfied with her VW Polo Mk4 (1.8 petrol, 100 bhp) and is looking for something with a bit more POWEEEER. images/smilies/tongue.gif

We test-drove the Mk5 Polo diesel with 100bhp and it's already not bad. I'm looking for alterantive rides around 15k EUR or so.

Suggestions?

VW never offered the Polo with a 1.8l engine. In fact, VW never offered a 1.8l 100hp petrol engine on any car AFAIK.

Furthermore, Mk4 isn't a proper model designation for a Polo. I'm assuming she either has a Polo 6N or 6NF. If so, the 100hp model's got a 1-4 16V engine.
If you were going with the Mkx model designations, starting with the first Polo, the current model would be the Mk4 and the Mk5 wouldn't even be out yet. images/smilies/wink.gif

Sorry for the VW model fuckup, but I'm not that much into Volkswagen. Yes, it's a 16V engine and it's the model before the current one.

As for brand new or used, she'd like to lease a new car.

Thanks guys!!

I'd imagine cars are rather expensive in Switzerland. On that basis it's difficult to come up with straightforward answers.

Skoda Fabia RS diesel? (130 bhp, around 300 Nm torque)

Mazda 3. I drove one a couple years ago when I was looking for something to replace my Jeep. The Mazda was a little out of my price range at the time, but it was alot of car for the money and a solid sporty car with plenty of room inside. I really liked it and would have bought it if I could have afforded it.
