Default Found a dejected Reliant Robin collection in Maine, US.

Before I saw this group of strangely abandoned Reliant Regals and Robins beside an old factory in central Maine, I wasn't sure if they imported them into the US, but I could be wrong. Whether it was offical or a person brought them over, they are all just sitting beside the road, no for sale signs or houses nearby. I had the nerve to walk down and take some photos of them, and try to figure out why they were there. I don't know if they are still there, but if you are travelling west of Bangor, Maine, be on the lookout.

Any kittens there? Were there any left hookers? See one with a UK number plate still on it.

Has anyone here ever driven a Reliant Robin? I'm curious about what they feel like.

Ok.
Imagine five people in an Reliant, new at the time, driving along the motorway.
It's very windy.
Reliant takes off.
and on that flimsy fibreglass bomb, landed on its roof.
The end. It was pretty bad as he always drove it like it was a motorbike.

5 in a Robin - damn that's brave. If you go around a corner a bit fast you can make friends with the tarmac rather quickly too.

What else could Tiff burn rubber in? Maybe a Reliant Robin! (Beginning of clip)

Also, the Reliant Robin space shuttle will be debuting next week on Top Gear.

The long bit was clearing all the fibreglass off the road and the waiting in hospital. By some miracle all survived. The front of the Reliant was converted into a container garden.

How did Tiff get away with that - no helmet, no roll cage and no neck brace?

I'm amazed at how undamaged the car looked after rolling over like that.

Well yeah, but when other cars are just tipped over they end up all smashed and with broken windows. The only damage I saw on that Reliant was a broken side mirror and loose hood/bonnet. Who needs crumple zones when your car just rolls around? images/smilies/lol.gif
