I was surprised to learn that the monster truck had actual doors. I was under the impression that the drivers got in the trucks via a ladder from underneath.

That's pretty awesome skill right there, with all the sliding around in a tight parking lot.
Anyone else see gravedigger nearly hit a parked car at around 2.38? But, yeah, America, etc.

I fucking LOVE Grave Digger. I've been a fan ever since I saw him come to the DCU Center in Worcester (back when it was called the Centrum Center, damn corporate whores
 ). I even built and painted a wooden model of him in 7th grade wood shop that I still have.
 Oh, and Conan's pretty awesome too.

It will always be the Centrum.
Only problem with Monster Jam there is that the stadium is only barely big enough. Not much opportunity for creativity in the freestyles. Last time I went, Gravedigger broke down and only came out for the freestyle

Do you ever wonder who in the world comes up with such randomness for late night tv? Who sits there and thinks "well, we could have the world's biggest pumpkin on, but that's boring. I know! We could smash it with a monster truck!"
Speaking of Conan, I'm watching last night's show right now and apparently someone on the writing staff is a Top Gear fan. The magazine just randomly came up in the monologue. |
