Poll missing. But I think my vote is obvious

In all seriousness the Saab needs to be on there, that sounded pretty cool. Otherwise I think the Impreza suits you the most.

weird that you're comparing cars of different sizes/classes, but whatever.

Mini S if you want maximum fun
GTI if you want a car than can do everything
WRX if you want AWD fun

These are way too different but I would take the WRX mostly because that's the one with most tuning/performance potential of them all.

Way to check the thread before I had time to make the poll
Also, the Saab is in no way better than the WRX, imo.

I feel like they are in the same class (RX8 stands out, yes). Three FWD hatches and an AWD sedan that's in the same price range.

Like I said in the other thread, the GTI's lack of an LSD is a major turn-off for me

^I think they are too different because they have a very different way of making and putting the power down. Also there is quite a bit of a difference in weight. Also it's not too obvious what you are trying to compare. If we are talking about an all around car AWD sedan is probably the best choice of all the ones you put in there. If you want the funnest car I would say RX-8 since as you know from the other thread RWD PWNS ALL!!!!!11111one

haha This would be a daily driver. Chores will also include quite a bit of winter driving (I go skiing a lot and I like to drive around during storms... if I can), good amount of autocross, etc. Car should be quick and nimble. An RX8 would be great but it has no torque and I like torque

RX-8 only has a bit less torque than a Mini Cooper S and a lot more power. Similar weight and probably more spacious rear seats, albeit less cargo space.

The interior (and arguably the exterior) are better. Otherwise the only difference is that the SAAB is cheaper and has a couple STi bits on it.

If you have to deal with winter driving, and have a car that hauls ass, it is a WRX.

If you like torque I would suggest something with forced induction not only do you get better/flatter torque curve but you can also increase power/torque fairly easily with a simple chip in most cases. Especially true for the GTI and WRX.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Mini comes in at around 2700lbs and the RX8 just under 3100. That's a big difference.

Sorry, the weight numbers I got were for the convertible, which is a good 150 pounds heavier.

If you want the WRX, be careful. Second gear on those 5-speeds sometimes are a tad bit weak.

FTFY.

That is actually not a big concern for me as I would not modify it that much. The most I would ever do would be stage 2 (~220whp). I've seen plenty of Subaru motors and transmissions disintegrate past 300whp, so I think I'd be fine with 220.
Maybe I'd just throw an exhaust on it and get a tune with a 2psi boost bump.
